Had a nice time. The ship was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The only downside is behavior on Carnival ships has become worse. If they’re not going to enforce any rules I’ll be finished with them after the next few cruises I’ve already booked and paid for. They seem to be scared to enforce rules so they don’t offend people however the 95% that can behave are going to choose another product. On this cruise there were rumors or theft, smoking everywhere except the smoking area (and yes I reported), people way overboard with their public drunkenness, screaming fights. It’s sad when the CD has the practically beg people to take care of the safety briefing when it’s so easy to do - but why bother right? They don’t need 100% compliance to sail and letting it slip during an announcement meant that people shrugged and said it wasn’t their problem and they proudly announced they didn’t do it to everyone the whole cruise. Grow the F up!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Arrived at my scheduled time and was on the ship in 15 minutes even though there was a slight delay in overall boarding. The security dogs are very efficient even if some people grumbled about the few minutes it took to do their sweep of each passenger group. Maybe don’t pack items that don’t belong on the ship and you’d be less anxious and whiny about the whole process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Overall food was good to very good from buffet to MDR. Buffet was adequate for lunch with good selection of salad items and lighter fare. Deli was good. Dined in MDR twice and both times the food and service were both very good (loved the roast duck). One evening we weren’t very hungry and just roamed around and grabbed a slice of pizza, a salad from buffet and a few cookies to eat while watching the movie on the big screen. The steakhouse was very good!
Steakhouse

Steakhouse was very good even if I’m not a person who orders steak. I had the Dover Sole and it was very good and my travel companion enjoyed the lamb. It was a nice paced and relaxing dinner. Worth the extra cost.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not going to lie, I was a bit underwhelmed with onboard activities. The games they have, while fun, like trivia are just filled with people cheating. It’s a given that someone always gets 100% of the answers when you know it’s not true. Adults should act like adults! The pools were not overcrowded but I’m uncomfortable using when people stand in them drinking all day but never leave to use the restroom (ewww) and the hot tubs were the same. Watched one family commander the center hot tub to watch a movie with their kids (all tiny tots) for over two hours. I did not use the water slides or fitness center this cruise.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The only show I attended was afternoon comedy and the holiday show. Both were fun! The holiday show was very well done and I enjoyed the kids who went to camp being able to get on stage and sing and dance. Robby the CD was fun and engaging. I had already been to the production shows on previous cruises and they were the same shows. I spent time walking or in the casino instead.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Overall excellent except my room steward, while friendly and efficient was a bit on the lazy side. He did just enough so my cabin was clean but I knew he’d never go out of his way to do extra. He reminded me twice on embarkation day that he only cleans cabin once per day. I reminded him it wasn’t my first rodeo! He made it clear he wasn’t up for doing extra! All other staff was friendly with the exception of never being able to get a beverage of any kind, except coffee, in a timely manner. Or being completely ignored around pool area when servers were walking around. Happens a lot on Carnival. I must have a resting B face!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I love the layout of this ship. She is unfortunately showing her age. Cleanliness was lacking slightly in some public areas more so due to people just leaving their stuff everywhere! Not sure why people think it’s okay to leave glasses and dishes in the elevator or in the corners of corridors.
Cabin / Stateroom

Lovely aft balcony! The location was great with the exception of night one when every venue below it had entertainment! It was so loud it was like sitting in the middle of a circus! Cabin had one flaw, one set of closets juts out into the room making it narrow. Otherwise it was suitable for four days for two people. While the cabin small the larger balcony made up for it. The decor is outdated.
Easy! And I used the new app debarkation so tags are delivered to you if you’re having them take your luggage. I didn’t need them since I was handling my own luggage this time around. Had time for a leisurely breakfast. Listened for my group to be called and was at the curb waiting for Lyft in under 10 minutes. If everyone could follow rules they’d have left in a timely manner too!
