This isn’t my first time on a cruise but first time cruising with Carnival. I had a bad experience with the room, the drink package, the island and the entertainment. The only thing that I enjoyed was the staff in the main dining room and the food they served. Everything else was garbage!
Embarkation

Getting on was a breeze as long as you had all your documents it was a breeze. Staff was very friendly and ready to help.

Food and Dining

DO NOT get the drink package it’s a waste of time/money. Drinks are watered down and don’t get any drinks at half moon Kay because you’ll be paying for it, it’s not part of your drink package. (Which that’s what staff informed us) on the flip side the food in the main dining room was amazing.
Onboard Activities

Too much was going on at a time and it was kinda hard to make it to everything.
Entertainment

Boring at times. They didn’t play any Caribbean music which was very sad.
Children's Programs

They liked it but the times they were available to watch the kids wasn’t good.

I chose the option king size bed and I got twin size which was very wrong doing. I’m still in pain from the bed. They brought us dirty linen on multiple occasions. The lamp in the room didn’t work and they duct taped it.
I'm really confused. You said there were too many onboard activities going on, so you couldn't make them all, and then you said you were bored by the entertainment?
Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry you were disappointed. Carnival is noted for having something everyone will enjoy, so they have several options at the same time.
I wouldn’t judge a cruise line based on a short cruise on one of the older ships. These cruises are basically party/booze cruises. Try a newer ship on a longer itinerary for a better experience.
Sounds like you did not research the ship you picked to cruise on or the ports of call it was stopping at and how long you would be at each port …. A little research goes a long way .
