Review summary

We were looking for a weekend getaway cruise and the itinerary met our expectations however the cruise itself didn’t once we were on board. First and last sailing on Carnival out of Miami!!!

It was easy breezy getting on the ship however we stayed in port of Miami for 6.5 hours

Onboard Activities

Not much to do on this ship due to the weather however they do have an adult section with an overhead that closes so you can still enjoy the hot tubs and pool on deck if it’s bad weather

Dj did an awesome job keeping the passengers entertained.

Ship is very outdated did not see onboard staff doing much cleaning and wiping down in common areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin did not present kept at all. Two beds were put together with no support where we found ourselves waking up sunken in the middle very uncomfortable complained to stateroom steward no changes then spoke to stateroom supervisor who had another stateroom attendant adjust the bed but no changes. It was horrible

Ship tip

I do not recommend sailing on this ship if you are looking for an exciting fun filled adventure with plenty of activities. The best part of our sail was the sauna and steam room was complimentary

The transition to get on the ship flowed quickly but I didn’t like that we did not leave port at scheduled time of 2:30pm but sat in port for over 6 hours

A lot of construction going on at the port but there was a nice size flea market beyond that. The stay was short and did not provide much opportunity to enjoy the Bahamian culture

Disembarkation

This process flowed with ease however the cruise line transportation had us sitting at the port for over and hour after the ship was completely disembarked

Ok so cruising out of Miami doesn’t seem like your issue here. But if you want to cut off all cruised out of Miami go for it 🤷🏽‍♀️

A quick weekend cruise on any cruise line is not what most people think. Those are the cheapest and convenient quick vaca. They are also full of disappointments to some. If on the Wonder or the Celebration or even Disney a weekend cruise would still be lacking and disappointing.

I wonder what research they did? Unfortunately, all too many of these “verified” posts come from via companies that use independent sales people at home who probably have not cruised.
