Review summary

If you cruise, I highly recommend another Port than Miami. The amount of people that get away with taking drugs on the boat is disgusting. The crowd down there is not kid friendly nor is it adult friendly if you are just looking for clean fun. Marijuana can be smelt through the whole boat including balconies and rooms. People are mostly rude and play nasty music through their blue tooth speakers. The staff were very professional and the food was good. The entertainment was descent and there was always something to do, as there is on all of Carnival cruise ships.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was amazing, prompt, courteous, exceptional.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very well kept, crew worked very hard on keeping the ship clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Descent with a balcony. You don't stay in your room much due to all the things to do on the ship, so it was great.

Ship tip

Expect to be surrounded by illegal drugs and Marijuana around the whole ship, definately out of Miami. Expect to smell weed even on your balcony being smoked on other people's balcony. Not very kid friendly crowd atmosphere. Other than that, the cruise provides everything you need.

Not that I would but that sounds so different from every person and travel agent I speak to that warns of the things legal and not that people always get caught doing … I heard you can’t even bring Tylenol without a doctors note lol

Thethompsons22    1 year ago

How does that even happen? I heard they make everyone get sniffed by drug dogs on their way in on every website to help you be prepared they make it sound like you would never stand a chance to get away with that?!

My concern is smoking anything. In the room, balcony or in the hallways! they need to smoke in a designated area first of all is a Coast Guard regulation and also a maritime law!!

Not completely sure where or what state your from but here in Oklahoma as well as many other state in our great country weed / marijuana is no longer an illegal drug. It is medically and soon to be recreationally legal to smoke anywhere at any time, so yes, I think that is just something we all will have to get used to spelling just like the common cigarette. Just my opinion.

Thank you for the review. Conquest is my favorite ship however I am normally annoyed on the shorter cruises since people seem to leave common sense at home. Weed is something that’s not going away. Rudeness however is uncalled for. I wish people would just chill out and have a good time without being jerks.

As long as the weed smell is not coming from the Bridge or engineering people can toke on. I dont smoke anything anf am always on a natural "high." Carnival is not the only cruise line. I was on Symphony and people were getting "Lit" on there with weed. It is on all the cruise ships lines and since it semi legal to legal most everywhere now we all might as well get used to smelling it.

Thanks for sharing your cruise

The weed smell was a surprise, it was really noticeable in the casino. But not the problem we felt the most. We felt unsafe for the first time on a cruise. Intimidated by rude passengers.

I agree - we will never sail Carnival out of Miami again. Too many people on their ships going out of there act like it’s the first time they’ve ever been away from their parents or parole officer.

It's a rule, not a law. It ticks people off when a cruise line says something is not allowed and then they sporadically enforce it. From the reviews, there's obviously more raucous booze hounds than mellow stoners on the Conquest.

Weed is not illegal anymore ….. not sure how someone else using it would cause your cruise experience to be a negative one .

You guys do know weed is legal in most states, and if you didn't have kids then not your problem. But thanks for review. People need to remember that they were young once.

Short cruises are all about the party

We smelled marijuana at the very back of Mardi Gras when we was in one of the warm hot tubs.

I would hope not. We've only had one Carnival cruise this year, but three last. Still, we've never smelled marijuana smoke on any ship. I definitely have noticed all the complaints coming back from those Conquest booze cruises. Definitely not the cream of society going on those.

Marijuana use is pretty much ignored on all Carnival Cruises now, regardless of the Port you sail from.
