Review summary

I know it's not Carnivals fault when mother nature is in control,but we paid full price for 4 ports and we weren't given anything back for not going to Belize. I felt that wasn't right.

The ship was beautiful, but it's old and when it rains she leaks every where. It's definitely time for some tlc!! Ants everywhere we sat and ate at except in the MDR. We told someone, we didn't make a big deal about it. We continued to enjoy ourselves!!

You should have gotten port fees back but that’s it. Everyone knows if you miss a port for some reason they do not have to give you money for that. We were on the Conquest in March. One of favorite ships out of 10 cruises we have been on. Never saw any leaks, but didn’t have any rain, and never saw any bugs on the ship. Food In MDR was absolutely delicious every night. We loved all our ports. Loved our cabin and location. Near elevator and took us straight down to the MDR. Daughter and her family had cabin next to us and cabin steward was able to connect our balconies making one huge balcony. We really didn’t care for any of the games or shows we saw but that’s not why we cruise. Fantastic cruise. Best vacation ever 🏝🛳

If it was high winds that kept you from Belize then you were better off not going. Last time we went people got sick on those tender boats, they really should have called it off.

Other than any port charges applicable to Belize, the cruise line Isn’t obligated to refund any charges. Ports can be, and are, missed for a variety of reasons - weather, medical, mechanical or political issues, etc. As the cruise contract everyone agrees to when booking, none of the ports are guaranteed. If a specific port is of extreme importance to you, you should always get a comprehensive travel insurance policy that offers some reimbursement for a missed port or itinerary change.

Make sure to read your cruise contract just as the previous poster said. You are guaranteed any port.
