Ship tip

Enjoy everything the ship has to offer. We met several people on board that had done several cruises but had never gone to any of the shows. They are incredible! Definitely check it all out.

We went on the distillery tour excursion. This is definitely the tour for you if you like getting drunk for free. Wish we could've gotten our passports stamped but we had to dock on the other side of the island because of rough seas.

We did an awesome excursion through Roatan Getaway Tours! They took us to AJ's Monkeys and Sloths then we were supposed to go snorkeling. But the boat was still out with another group so instead of making us sit and wait Monique (our tour guide (who was fabulous!)) took us to a little chocolate factory which was really neat. Then we went snorkeling which was incredible. And then Monique sweetly asked if we would like to go someplace local for lunch and when our group was split she dropped us of at the restaurant before taking the people we were with back to the ship she then came back and sat with us and answered any questions we had while we enjoyed a super yummy lunch then she took us back to the ship. The excursion was very inexpensive and all the extras weren't expected and those little things were great! We would go back and do the same thing tomorrow if we could.

Belize City, Belize

Belize City was kinda scary. We didn't have an excursion booked here but I was very interested in the cave tubing. We talked to a local and asked about the walk in because I knew if you were ziplining and cave tubing it was a significant hike. We made clear to her that I can't hike any distance because of a bad heart. She assured us multiple times that it was a 5 minute easy walk so we did it. After they drove us an hour and a half into the rainforest which was beautiful the hike was at least a mile and a half up and down hills. My husband was worn out. The guide was in a super big hurry because we didn't have enough time till the boat left (which he knew from the beginning but didn't tell us when he asked what time) so we finally get to the caves and they were awesome! But then we all (at least a dozen) had to run back to the bus no time to change out of our wet clothes or anything. After they sped back to the port we were 20 minutes late for the last boat back to the ship. The only thing that saved us was a couple of the cruise excursions were running more behind then us. We would've never booked this if we would've been told the truth about the hike or informed how long it would take when he asked what time we had to be back. It was very stressful and exhausting. But at least I've seen the cool caves. Will not do this again.

The excursion we had booked through the cruise line was canceled because of not enough people booked. So we booked an excursion that was $30 a piece and it included transportation to a beach resort and included entry, pool, and beach chairs. You had to pay for drinks etc. My husband was able to go snorkeling again there for $10. His only complaint was he got half fins here instead of full which made it a much harder swim then on Roatan. I enjoyed sitting on the beach with a couple of drinks and $3 wifi and being able to call home and touch base with everyone. Then transportation back was provided every half hour so you could leave when you want. We then enjoyed shopping in the port. It was a nice day.
