The SCREENING process was terrible. I don't know if it's just the employee of the port, but they must hate people who are not local. They speak to you as if you were some type of foreigner.
When we arrived the water was a bit harsh so we had to port at a different location then we had to pay for a taxi to take us to our pick up location for our excursion, but then later once on board Carnival did give us a credit for that expense, so thank you Carnival for that we appreciated at very much.
Hands Down the best port of our trip. Lot's of shopping and restaurant to pick from and our excursion was the best one here so far. Mr. Sancho's Beach Resort was awesome.
Was not too happy that we had to be out of our cabin by 8:30am and then still needed to wait till almost 10:20am to get off and everyone was hanging out near the levels near the exit. So we just stayed on our deck which was deck 9 and exit was on deck 3. I figure it was just best to stay up there till it was clear enough to get off.
We were on the Conquest in March. Loved it. Cabin was so pretty and spacious. Food in MDR was absolutely delicious every night. We also had breakfast there each morning as we don’t care for buffets. Our ports were fantastic. Our cabin steward was wonderful. Didn’t care much for the shows we saw but we cruise for the ports and being on the ship. Embarkation at Port Everglades was great but because of customs being short handed, disembarking took forever. Still had a fantastic cruise and would definitely go on again.
The worst parts of any cruise seems to be embarkation and debarkation. They ask you to be out of your cabin by 8:30 so that the room stewards can start the turn around process. I find it a nuisance, but certainly understand it. We particularly have found the Miami port to be poor for debarkation, possibility because of the volume of passengers getting off the many ships on any given day.
Glad you enjoyed your cruise, otherwise.🛳
