Review summary

For the price and getting together with our kids/ grandkids, it was great! However you DO NEED to change your mens casual code. We went to dinner, hubby in tank top, me with tank and cover up.....He was turned away because of bare arms... I took off my cover up, he put it on (looked silly..but) he was then able to go in to dinner and yet it was OK for ME to go with bare arms. You see SO much T and A there but bare arms?? PLEASE!!

Yea everyone wants equality.....:this will get me put on blast im sure but......i dont want to see mens armpits at dinner and i dont want to see topless women at the pool. I know thats good in some cultures but not mine just saying.

The main reason men in tanks is discouraged is for exposed armpits. Women tend to shave their armpits so that seems to be less objectionable in a dining environment. Carnival has one of the most relaxed dress codes in the industry. It is posted daily in the Fun Times so it shouldn’t be a surprise when you show up at the dining room entrance.

Carnival almost has no rules these days for dress code in the dining room, just go to Walmart and get a few collared shirts.

I have seen people turned away men for flip flops and tanks or even basketball shorts. I mean just follow the dress code its not that hard. And women's clothing is different from mens. They can have bare arms and open toe shoes. I believe thats ok

Go to the Lido deck if you have to wear a tank top. I'm extremely laid back and can manage to wear a collared shirt if I'm going to the MDR.

I agree. It's nice to see people a little effort into dressing for MDR. if you don't feel like it go to the Lido buffet.

There has been a dress code for as long as I can remember. If you don’t like it don’t go to the MDR. I don’t understand why people complain about rules that have been around a very long time. Maybe cruising isn’t for you. Nobody wants to see people dressed like scrubs in the MDR. Go to the buffet next time.

I think tank tops are one of the few things not allowed in the dining room.
