Review summary

Wifi is spotty, even for WhatsApp, but pay for it anyway. The social media plan did not seem to work much at all, which seemed unusual since I would have thought Carnival would have wanted people to post. I was only able to post 1 video, even from the higher paid plan, and that was from Curacao (near the Yellow House I think).

Embarkation

5 out of 5
virtually no delays; we kept moving all the way, and it was great. We did however, stop for picture time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
especially the omlette station and deli that I frequented daily.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Walked a lot; 10k steps every day, with at sea days closer to 17k steps. Got 1 book read entirely and started on another.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Comedy club - RANDY ANDY!!!!! Tried to make it once or twice a night. You need more movies in rotation though for 8 nights, even if you need to rotate in some classics or things that are a little older.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room was well taken care of, and done every day. Volter did a great job, even when we were lazy. Kerone Mcdonald was also very helpful in the Spa, providing me with recommendations on how to assist myself going forward.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
decks were often slippery, even for Carnival Employees. Otherwise great, including an amazing array of places to just sit and do nothing with almost no one around. I did observe some conflicts with people smoking in non-smoking sections, but I would typically sit up wind, so no complaint here - just an observation.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was cleaned just fine. We had to have the beds re-arranged when we arrived, but otherwise, just fine.

Ship tip

Decks 8-10 exit first if you plan to carry your bags (plan to do so) and deck 10 is quiet, so limited traffic, but has immediate access to deck 11 (Spa) and 12 (Awesome outside areas to relax), and 9 - outdoor theater, and buffets. Ok, perhaps that is more than 1 tip; sorry.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Time. cruise was over a week, so we needed to get back.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
did not do much; did not see much to do

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
Boxing Day was just not the greatest day to visit, so many things were closed. But, got in probably the best wifi just past the moving bridge.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Our guide on our tour was awesome. We have been to Aruba before, but we flew in, so this got us a different view. Clifford was awesome and we would probably look for him again should we return.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
cabs were hard to find, and uber was impossible, but getting off the ship was extremely easy.
