We had a great time on this cruise. The food was good. The room was good. The service was good. The excursions were good. The ports were good. EDEN PARKER was amazing. If you are ever lucky enough to be on a ship that he is playing, GO SEE HIM!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
So much faster than it used to be! If your primary reason to purchase Faster to the Fun is for getting through registration quicker, than don't waste the money. It's so much faster now. If it is to get your cabin earlier, debark priority, or priority guest services, then by all means still buy it. There were express elevators just to bring guests up as quickly as possible to the lido where they could eat and wait for their cabins to be ready - brillient!

Food and Dining

Food was very good and mostly hot in the dining room. It was cold/luke warm in the barbeque upstairs. Love breakfasts in the dining room, especially steak and eggs on the sea days.
Onboard Activities

We went to every art auction. We learnt so much, and are excited to receive our pieces in the next 12 weeks.
Entertainment

EDEN PARKER is AMAZING. The only night I didn't spend in the piano lounge was the night he had off. He is so talented, fun, enthousiastic and nice. My top recommendation for entertainment.
Service and Staff

Our waiters for this cruise were "G.O.", Sigit and "Katie" (I do not know how to spell her real name - we were told to just call her Katie). They were wonderful and very friendly. We really enjoyed joking around with G.O. every night.
Our room steward was Gde Ari. He was wonderful. He was there for all that we needed, always had a warm smile and a kind word. In the piano bar, Ravi and Shirley were fantastic, anticipating our needs.
And EDEN. What can I say about EDEN PARKER in the piano bar. Honestly, this man's amazing talents were the best part of my cruise. He is wonderful. I hope to find him on a future cruise.
Ship Quality

Layout is mostly good. It would be great if there was a way of calling more than one elevator when there are large crowds needing them (like when returning from excursions). I really liked the theme of all of the artists. That was neat.
Cabin / Stateroom

The size was as expected, and as an interior cabin, it was nice and dark... just the waywe like it. I have mixed feelings about the floor lighting that pops on if you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. On one hand I love it (as a person using it for bathroom location), but it wakes you up if someone else gets up to use the bathroom. Oue cabin was kept nice and clean for us.
We took a pre-booked sight-seeing excursion through cheapcruises.com. It was good, but late leaving because they were trying to sell more seats at a lower price to fill it up.
We didn't stay on the island very long since we slept in and then it started raining just after we got there, but what we did see of it was breathtaking.
Another cheapcruises.com sightseeing excursion. It was a great tour. I really enjoyed it. The only issue I had was that our tickets said that ship's time and local time were different by an hour, which was not actually the case. We got there an 1 1/4 hours before the driver as we did not question the fact that there was a time difference noted.
The first time I went to Amber Cove, I had been scared by it. We had been the second ship to dock, and there had been armed guards everywhere. Now they are much more used to tourists :-) I had a great experience this time. We did a Carnival Monkey Jungle excursion. It was wonderful. Although I did not get more than a few seconds of a monkey on me (because a lady screamed and scared them all away), my husband had several of them, including a mother carrying her baby. Such a neat experience!
We were doing back-to-back cruises in the same room. What a great experience! They had those of us doing that meet in the dining room at 9:30. They had coffee and mamosas. They eventually came and scanned our old cards, issued us our new ones, took our pictures again, took a group photo, then lead us to the (now empty) terminal to walk past a custom's officer before re-boarding. Then we got to sit back and watch everyone board as we listened to the entertainment. So easy. Would definitely do it again.
We were in the piano bar every night too!! Eden is hands down best entertainer for carnival weve ever seen!! He plays just about anything you ask for! Spectacular!
