Review summary

We had a great vacation and really enjoyed it; just a little disappointed in the ship compared to what we have seen from the bigger ships and Royal Caribbean ships. We will try RC next time around.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food was okay, but the dining has really gone down hill since the last cruise we took years back; now you have to pay extra for steak and certain foods on the menu. The best food on the ship was the pizza and Guys burgers.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The ship was clean and nice enough but after seeing some of the Royal Caribbean ships and what they offer it seems we really picked the wrong cruise line.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean ship and rooms but the room was tiny. I get it we booked an interior room but for what we paid it just didn’t seem like enough for the money. We were shocked to see what all some of the new ships have compared to the one we were on, I guess we should have paid attention to the name of the boat when booking.

Ship tip

Spend the extra money to get a suite or a bigger room for 2 or more traveling together especially a small child under 10!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Just flew in and got on ship and flew back out. No activities

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Did not get off the ship at the port.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Was our favorite part of the trip. The beach was packed but still plenty of room to swim.

Grand Turk Island

2 out of 5
Nice pool at Margaritaville but the beach looked almost dirty

I think your review is a good one. I've cruised Royal and Carnival, they definitely both have their positive and negative features. For the money aspect I always say, you get what you pay for. As you continue to cruise, let your experiences be your guide to what you like and want out of a cruise line. Everyone has different reasons for choosing different cruise lines. I cruised the Allure January 2018 and I'm on the Conquest in an interior cabin in January 2019! I cannot wait😊 Happy cruising to all!⛴ 🎉😎🌴⛱

Try one of Carnival's newer ships maybe with at least a balcony. Sometimes you get a different perspective based on your immediate surroundings. Happy cruising!

I think what he was saying is that your gonna pay double for Royal Caribbean

Don’t mean to sound like such a complainer, we did have a great time; just giving an honest opinion. We couldn’t really afford spending the extra money for a suite at the time and they didn’t have anything except interior available anyways. It was fun just cramped with two adults and a wild 6 year old.

Yeah, each ship and cruiselines have their own personal appeal and charm. Keep on cruising 😎

Spend double the money for half the fun.
