Review summary
My husband and I decided to take our first vacation/cruise alone and without our children. This was also our first time cruising with just 2 of us as we usually cruise with a group of 20 people. We opted to sail in May rather than our previous cruises which were all during Spring Break. The cruise was great! We loved the Conquest's theme and enjoyed looking at all the decor around the ship. The ship is a little bit older but is well kept and comfortable. The layout of ths ship is also nice. Since it was just the 2 of us we upgraded to a balcony room and I can say with 100% confidence that I will not go back to an interior room. Our room steward and his team were very friendly, always greeted us by name and were there right away if we needed anything. The first day on the ship we requested ice in an ice bucket and our room stewards made sure we had fresh ice both morning and evening. Just not having to ask for this and them making sure we had it was cool. The food and restaraunts were really good. We did not go in to any of the premium restaraunts although we did hear from another cruiser that the steakhouse was amazing. Everyone on staff aboard the Conquest were friendly and always greeted us with a smile and a hello. The Cruise Director, TJ was very personable, funny and did a great job with all the activities he led on the ship. We love sailing with Carnival as we always have fun and there is always something to do. Embarkation and Debarkation at Port Everglades was seamless and we had no issues. We are also VIFP members and enjoy the perks that Carnival gives for those who continue to cruise with them. I highly recommend Carnival and the Conquest. My husband said it was his favorite ship so far.Embarkation
