We had a great time but could have been better. I gave 4 stars because the cruiseline won't enforce their own policies. People in the lido with no shirts, shoes or cover ups. Sign was clearly posted. People reserving loungers. We were up on the serenity deck at 9am and no one around, but towels were on every lounger. Kids in adult pools and whirlpools. Ship employee right there and did nothing. Wish there were more dining options than pizza after 9pm. If Carnival would tighten up their policies a little, this would be a 5 star cruise. Even for an older ship. Thought the ship was clean and in good shape. Employees were great. Food was good. Would go again, but not during spring break.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Painful, but aren't they all. The process seemed to go pretty fast and a bit chaotic, but we were through and on the ship in no time.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good. Nothing overly over the top. Wish they had more options after 9PM. Pizza place got pretty jammed with only 1 person to make pizza after hours.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The activities were great. Numerous events and things to keep everyone entertained. I wish they would enforce their policy more on saving of lounge chairs on the serenity decks and pool decks. Even getting up early, most chairs in the adult only area already had towels in them with no one around.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Shos were excellent. Not these big theatrical things with intermission. Wonderful 45 minute shows that entertained all ages.
Children's Programs
Kids did not participate
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was polite and addressed you by name. No matter what, they would always say hello.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Even though it's an older ship, I thought it was well taken care of.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Best cabin on the ship. Floor to ceiling windows were great and the additional room was awesome.
Ship tip
Get the Scenic Grand Oceanview Stateroom. You have to book early since there's only 2 of these rooms, but the best room of any cruise ship.
Over rated by far. I enjoyed my first visit here, but will opt for an excursion next time to see the rest of the island. Bartering and deals in the stores was difficult and people were not as polite as the other stops.
