Even with the few things we would like to see changed, we did truly enjoy our cruise and are ready to go again!!!!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Actually, it was so easy it felt as though we were skipping something!!!!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was excellent and the service was fantastic!
Monet Restaurant
5 out of 5
We dined every night at the Monet restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff very accommodating! We especially enjoyed having Alex, Mike and Ronah (not sure if I have her name right) serve our table! We enjoyed the "entertainment" provided by the staff following our meals ..... The food was delicious!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool, the water slide, and the large games like chess.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We would have enjoyed being able to go to more of the shows, however the time table just didn't work! I would suggest having the stage shows at 7 and 9 p.m. so that the early diners could go to the late shows and the late diners to the early shows. As it was, if we wanted to go to a show we had to go at 10 p.m. which didn't work with our having young children with us. The movies on deck also ran over the dining times except for Friday night.
Children's Programs
We were usually on shore during the daytime when children's programs were available.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiters in the Monet dining room for the 8:15 seating were excellent (Alex, Mike and Ronah)! They were attentive, friendly and made us feel like important guests!!!! Our room stewards did a good job of keeping our rooms clean and providing fresh linens, etc., but we didn't see him/her in person so not sure of names. Other than at the bars, we always had very quick service. The bars were especially busy so we had to often wait for quite awhile for service there for our soft drinks.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I think the ships layout worked great. Everything seemed to be kept clean and neat. There were times when several public bathroom stalls were out of order but there were still always some available for use. There is one suggestion I would like to make regarding the "bottomless bubbles" ..... It was very inconvenient to have to get our soft drinks from the bars where there were lines of people waiting for alcoholic drinks. I would really like to see Carnival go the route of one of their competitors where you are issued a glass/mug that you can fill yourself at Coke machines throughout the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was neat, clean and roomy as ships cabins go. The beds were very comfortable!
Ship tip
For the ladies, bring bathing suits, coverups that can go everywhere, and comfortable shoes or sandals for daywear. Bring a few dresses that can be dressed up or down for evening wear. And, bring lots of sunscreen! Lighter packing means a lot less hassle getting off and on the ship and through the ports when you embark and debark!
We did an excursion and we enjoyed it very much. My only problem with most ports is the distance one has to walk to get from ship to shore as I have difficulty walking long distances.
This was an absolutely lovely stop. Enjoyed the beach immensely and was pleased that there were enough beach chairs for the majority of the people! Also was happy to have the noon meal served to us. This does need to be noted in your descriptions of the Island and the day as we didn't know there would be towels available and only found out about the meal and water available the night before.
Nice port. We did not do a cruise sponsored tour but, instead, hired one of the Island Taxi ones right on shore for less than half of the cruise sponsored tours. I felt comfortable doing that there as we had been in Nassau before. Will look into it in the future for other places as it really does save a bundle of money when you have seven people traveling together!
We waited until some of the last as our air departure wasn't until late afternoon. It was still really long lines but they kept moving and we have no complaints.
