Review summary

Pleasantly surprised. It was an eight day cruise in February so it was mostly composed of passengers in their forties and up. Everyone on the cruise seemed upbeat and friendly. The mid sized ship is well laid out and easy to navigate. The cleanliness of the ship was top notch in all areas. The casino was loud and alcohol fueled of which i must say I was involved in this group. The staff in the dining room was friendly and professional but service was slow. The our time dining was hit or miss. The ports were all nice with curacao being the best. Entertainment was average to good. Comedians were funny both PG and Adult. All around it was a nice cruise.

No problems. My wife uses a wheelchair and staff was helpful with embarking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The best part was the cleanliness of all the dining areas especially the lido deck dining areas. The wait time for our time dining at the Renoir dining room was hit or miss and the food service was at times painfully slow.

Guy's Burger Joint

5 out of 5

Best burgers. My go to place for fast service. Open from 12 to 6 everyday.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Plenty of room around the ship although pool areas on sea days were packed as expected.

Tahiti Casino

4 out of 5

Casino area is completely a smoking area which did'nt deter us from donating to the Carnival cruise line. Slots had some nice payouts and free drinks after 1500 points is nice. Casino bar staff is friendly and fast.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were all ok. Comedians were funny and karaoke was a blast.

Degas Aft Lounge

Great place for a good laugh both clean and no so much.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff we encountered on the ship were professional and friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship design was laid out well. To get from the front of the ship to the rear you use the lido(deck nine) or deck five. All common areas seemed clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This is a great cabin. It has one of the largest balconies on the ship. It is the last room on the right rear of the ship on the eighth deck.

Ship tip

If you use our time dining be prepared to wait. This does not happen all the time but on certain days they seem to get behind.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Parked at the port parking lot (15 dollars a day). Fast and easy.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
You will take a tender to this port. Nice beach and great free lunch buffet.

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
Beautiful beach. Beautiful island. Great beach to relax and enjoy the sun. No charge for any lounge chairs or umbrellas.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Nice island. Probably the best island for an excursion.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Best port on the cruise. Very scenic. Much history and beautiful architecture. Lots of shopping within walking distance of the ship. Walk across the moving wooden bridge into town. If you are lucky you can watch it open and close. Only wish we had more time in this port.

Disembarkation

Getting off the ship was fine. The only slow down was at the customs checkpoint.
