Review summary

We really enjoyed the cruise with the exception of the embarkation process. The worst boarding experience we have encountered in over 10 cruises. Carnival really needs to work on their check-in process! The rest of the cruise was very enjoyable, with good service and great food.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
The worst - we were in line for nearly 2 hours.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dinner in the main dining room was surprisingly good! Great choices each night, super service.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the putt putt golf and ping pong. The pools were always too crowded.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Went to the final night Rock Show and while the performance itself was good, it was way too loud.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Majority were very friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was kept extremely clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice layout, ample drawers, quiet, always enough towels.

Ship tip

Don't miss the burger bar! Best burgers ever.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Easy parking and transit over to the ship.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Took the excursion over to Blue Lagoon Island - fantastic! Stayed away now from Nassau.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
The clearest, bluest water ever. Loved it.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
Great shopping right at the port. The pool was very fun.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Carried our bags off and everything went smoothly. Long line at Customs but it kept moving.

Embarkation was rough but debarkation was horrible for me. Were you on the cruise 10/28 cruise?

Embarktation is really a hit or miss. Also depends on what time.

We learned on our first cruise, using a porter when leaving the ship is faster through customs because they have their own line.
