Review summary

This was my 7th Carnival cruise.  Carnival has taken away services and apparently staff.  Disappointing!  Embarkation and debarkation were terrible.  You have a timeframe to arrive, but it does not matter at all.  Being a past cruiser and "gold" member means nothing.  They even stopped having the cocktail party for us because there were too many and only invite "Platinum+." A drink coupon could only be used on the last night.  Items that used to be in the cabin are no longer...honor bar, bath robes.  Found my husband's luggage standing alone against a wall by the elevator at almost 6 p.m. on the day of embarkation.  People sitting on the stairways and kids running all over...ugh!

The staff are friendly and work hard.  Our dining staff was wonderful.  The Steak House has gone downhill.  We received better service from our nightly dining staff.  Steak House not worth the added $.  We saw three great shows, but the shows used to be every night.  The comedians were ok, but they always feel they have to be raunchy to be funny.

The Carnival excursion we booked in the Dominican (Countryside Experience) was not good at all.  Aruba excursion (party bus) was fun.  Caracao ostrich farm was ok.

Cruise director was very good.

If I ever cruise again, I will not choose Carnival.

I just came off a 8 day on the Conquest this was my 11th cruise with Carnival and my 2nd time doing that itinerary. I enjoyed myself just for the simple fact that I was on vacation but I noticed all the cut backs also I thought it was just that we picked a bad week. our rooms didn't have the bath robes either, I'm pissed also about only platniun and diamond members get the past guess party now. I'm a gold member and 4 sea days away from platniun if carnival didn't change their rules again I would have been platniun 2 cruises ago. as far as the drink voucher I'm to through with that only the last day of sea and after 5pm only. Not for nothing Carnival but if we made it to be a Gold member obviously we cruised with you at least 4 or 5 times already all that money we deserve something better than a $9 drink only on the last day. we also didn't get our 2017 gold VIFP pin. Our cabin people and waiter was great no problem with the food. Their was no club action until the lastnight the comedians was just OK. I don't care for LA Romans but Grand Turks, Aruba and Caracau I Love we took tours in allow places. But I must say this was one of the quietest cruises I've ever taken.

I don't know why people complain about kids running around. they're on vacation, they're allowed! don't like it then don't book a cruise on a family friendly ship. My kids WILL be running around in December on our cruise!

we've enjoyed all our cruises with carnival , only sailed them exclusively until about 3 years ago , we got a really good deal on princess which we LOVED! Lol, haven't found one since then but have had a couple great cruises on royal. try them all I say
