Review summary

Ship needs to be updated.  The lay out of the ship is great. Entertainment is great. Most staff is great.  Rooms are old and needs new furniture and carpets. Tons of storage area which is great.  TV is very small. Dominican Republic port needs to be replaced with a better, safer, cleaner stop.

Ship is fine..cruised on it March and June 2016. Had a great time. Should look up ship before u go and will see what It looks like and when refurbished. Does need newer tv but who really wants to stay in cabin and watch tv...u can do THAT at home. Duh

Jbucha it was Dominican Republic we were at and loved it

staceyvanbos    8 years ago

We loved it went to monkey land it was amazing this is an experience we will never forget we were on the cruise on the 17th sept 2016 on the conquest we have been on the breeze twice and victory once but the conquest is one of the most enjoyable cruises we have been on. Book excursion early as they sell out quick. The Dominican Republic excursion with the monkeys was the highlight of our cruise

Just keep in mind that the older ships do generally cost less than the new ones. Go for the experience. You can always upgrade to a newer ship if that is what's important to you.

Dominica and Dominican Republic are two different ports.

We love the Dominican! All your shopping is right off the port. Never once felt unsafe. Did dolphin excursion and was 100% satisfied. The ship was beautiful. Rooms are basic but heck your in there to sleep and change clothes. If you hang out in your room don't go on a cruise

Your tv is too small. Wow, talk about knit picking, lol

We have done a shore tour of the DR La Romana town / caves and an excursion to Catalina Island. I would recommend the Catalina island tour and stay away from the town. Town is a prime example of poverty and 3rd world country conditions.
