was my 12th cruise on carnival and was the very worst cruise ive been onI I WILL NEVER USE CARNIVAL AGAIN THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE I LOST 6 LBS ON THIS CRUISE MY WIFE GOT SICK AND WAS MADE TO STAY IN HER ROOM BECAUSE OF THIS WE COULDNT GET OFF SHIP IN ARUBA ARUBA WAS THE REASON WE WENT ON THIS CRUISE I THINK WE SHOULD BE COMINSATED FOR THIS

I was also on the 3/19 Carnival Cruise to the Southern Caribbean. The first 3 days we could occasionally smell a sewer aroma in our room and throughout the ship. Tues night I ate dinner at 6pm (veal), had terrible heartburn by 10pm, and by 1am I had nasty stuff flying out of both ends. This continued all night. 3 vomiting episodes, 15 plus bouts of diarrhea.At 8am I went to the ship Medical. They checked my vitals, no temp. They agreed it might have been the food since I had not eaten anywhere else. They gave me pepto bismal and told me to return later that day if my symptoms did not stop. The medical dept agreed we should cancel our Curacao Jeep excursion that was scheduled months in advance. It never stopped, another 12-15 bouts of diarrhea. Back to the medical dept at 6pm. They gave me Imodium AD and isolated me to my room. After about 11pm things began to settle down but I had terrible flu like symptoms (aching muscles,sore bones, no energy). Again, they agreed that it was probably food poisoning. Thursday morning I was finally able to eat soup. The Medical dept cancelled my atv Aruba excursion. This was scheduled months in advance. Friday I continued having flu like symptoms and could only sit around or move slowly a short distance. Again, just eating very lightly.

This was our 3rd cruise and we only scheduled it due to the ports of Curacao and Aruba. Of course we missed both of these and our whole retirement/30 year anniversary cruise was ruined. Carnival felt sooooo bad they offered me $154 on my NEXT cruise....WHAT???? I challenged it and they stuck to their guns because that is their policy. Well, my policy is not to use any company that doesn't back their product. Very disappointed in Carnival. Good luck to all you Carnival cruisers.

Wow its the point that that you spend all this money and they have they ship in such disrepair. Yes cracked tile everywhere you go . Bathrooms not working all over.

I was on March 7 through 11..and it did have a bad smell to it.. and every time we took a shower it over flowed. .but we had fun..the cleaning guy that cleaned our room was awesome. .the oj and pastries were good in the morning room service it was nice..and I wash my clothes on board 3$ to wash and 3$ to dry..and no they worked good...

We were on the ship the week of the 18th of March and we had nothing but issues. I always cruise with Carnival and this was the worst one we have been on. Our bathroom smelled like dry urine, one of the sinks didn't drain so they had to take the sink apart. This was 2 days then the thermostat was broken and it was an ice box in the room so that was 2 more nights for them to fix this until almost midnight. We have a 2 and 5 year old and we couldn't get into the room to put them to bed. The eggs sucked. I think they were powdered. They have cracked tile everywhere on the ship and it is very dirty. This ship needs to be dry docked and updated. They should be embarrassed to make people spend their hard earned money on this ship. I will say they did give us credits on our on board account. They have always been great with customer service. Oh, and the ship smelled like sewerage. Every time we turned around a bathroom was closed and the ice cream machines barley worked. I could go on and on with the problems that ship has and everything is just so out dated. With all that said we did enjoy ourselves because you have to take it in stride and enjoy your time e with your family, I would never let something or someone ruin my vacation.

I wouldn't mind losing 6 lbs while I'm on a cruise, I know I'm going to be pigging out. Hope your wife is ok though.

With this being your 12th cruise you should know exactly where all meals are and what They have. There are so many choices to not like them all... go cruise another line and leave the fun to us

Seriously couldn't find anything to eat? Breakfast buffet has everything from eggs/omlettes to pancakes and fruit and breakfast burritos at Blue iguana.. 24/7 pizza and room service, sandwiches at the deli, burgers and fries from guy's, fish and chips offers fried and raw seafood, ice cream anytime, amazing brunch on sea days, lido buffet has a wide variety daily and an ever changing menu with many choices at the main dining rooms. What DO you eat?

Lost 6 lbs in a week?? You seriously probably need to get to the nearest ER ASAP. Your issue would clearly not be from lack of food. Seriousness aside...maybe the nurse will give you some cheese with your whine.

Loved the Conquest and the food. If you're unhappy I'm happy to hear you won't be on my next Carnival cruise. It sounds like you blame the cruise line for your wife's illness....

If it was from the food, many more people would be sick. I have a hard time believing these type of reviews. Lost 6 lbs.? Couldn't find any food on the whole ship to keep you from wasting away? People always wanting money for something that isn't the cruiselines fault. *sigh*

What was your wife's problem? Did she have norovirus? Did she have fever and chills? They quarantine you so every body else don't go it. Why should you be componsated it's not carnival fault she got sick is it?.
