Review summary

Disappointing.  After cruising on this ship I am uncertain as to whether I will ever cruise again..  The entertainment and the dining experience are supposed to be two of the highlights of cruising,,Both were way below expectations on this cruise.

The dining staff and service staff were commendable but one gets the feeling that as hard as they work, the company is expecting them to do more with less.

According to ship policy if pool chairs are left unattended for more than 4o minutes towels will be removed..this certainly is not enforced and people have a sense of entitlement because they know they can get away with tagging a chair at 6a.m. and then going about their business and leaving THEIR "toweled chaIr"

empty and other people wandering around with no place to sit...Why have a policy if not enforced?????

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
the food in the main dining room, with the exception of one evening, was sub par and was always served cold (The Renoir) Breakfast in the Monet Dining Room was consistently good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
while the comedians were good the variety show sounded very much like screeching and howling.. The best entertainment was the cruise director in the lounge each evening. Kudos to Josh on his personality and ability to connect with people.

Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

Very outdated. The rug was filthy with many stains. Bed was comfortable. the staff did an excellent job of keeping it clean.

Ship tip

Reconsider and compare with other ships and reviews before booking.

This will be our 2nd time on the Conquest. We said we would never cruise Carnival, but last year changed our view. It's not the most glamorous, nor is the food the best, but the people are down to earth and just happy to be on vacation. We met so many nice folks that we have kept in contact with this past year and were looking forward to seeing them on this cruise.

I don't understand the whole saving a chair thing anyway... Isn't there like a billion chairs on the ship?

Why didn't you remove the offending towel and use the chair. A clean folded towel to me means it's their for me to use 😊

I've been on many cruises but definitely never get a good chair on deck because of chair hogs. they do need to enforce the 40min rule! I've been there at 8a and it's just ridiculous, that being said I do have a great time, just miss out on lido fun. Usually end up on other side of ship.

we loved it.. you are too critical. I have been on many cruises on all the lines and conquest was one of my favorites.

We were on this ship just a couple months ago and had a great time. I'm sure with that attitude you will too Tim-d-Wolfe. Enjoy!

Ty. This's D here tho. Oh yes it's going to be amazing! We're both so excited! And of the mindset that nothing is going to interfere with our relaxation n enjoyment. I firmly believe that it's what u make it, so we're set for a great time! :)

Tim... Relax and enjoy your cruise! My wife went on three of them while she battled through breast cancer... Very therapeutic!!!!

I'm sorry it didn't meet what you were hoping for... We leave Sat for our very first "cruise" & we are both very excited! Lol not much with us in the form of expectations, Except for being ALONE w/o our kids for the 1st time in almost 17yrs! Woohoo :) Celebrating our Anni of many many years, along with the end of almost 5yrs of the Chemo/Radi game for me, it's gonna be awesome.

There's no way I would let a chair and towel ruin a cruise.

Sounds like you set the bar pretty high as far as your expectations are concern.
