Review summary
Biggest disappointment was the food! We have cruised before and were surprised at the poor quality of the food, especially at the buffet. The dining room quality was better, but still not great. We ordered the same meals from room service as we had in the dining room, and room service was much better, which is opposite to what you might expect. We were also very surprised that the buffet was shut down so often. On other cruises it never completely closed, and there was a late night (around 11 pm) extra buffet. Also in the sitting areas around the buffet, we are used to servers regularly bringing carts serving beverages, and although there was an excess of staff cleaning, there were no servers or waiters. Also, why is juice included, but soft drinks are not? Seems a little odd.
Activities and entertainment on board were all geared toward a very young age group, which was not made clear pre booking. We have no complaint with the choices, but we feel that more pre booking info would allow a better choice of cruise.
Our cabin was fine, and the cabin service was great.
