Ship: Carnival Conquest

Cabin Type: Suite

Traveled As: Couple

Review Summary

Everything exceeded our expectations - Carnival really makes you feel welcome and as a first time cruiser we had a lot of questions - like the t-shirts with 'just ask' - with all the confusion on boarding this really helped.

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and staff were outstanding - like the your time dining option.

Entertainment

5 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward and head waiter (we always asked if there was anything available in his section) were outstanding. The rest of our interaction was also wonderful - real service!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
One comment regarding the elevators - ship has a lot of seniors and people with disabilities - there is no way to tell in the elevator lobby which one is landing - realize there are tones but you literally have to be in front to see the arrows - we missed about 30% of the elevators (husband had recent hip replacement) you really have to move fast before they close.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a suite and could not believe all the closet, cabinet and shelf space - we loved our room and balcony.

Ports Of Call

Montego Bay, Jamaica

5 out of 5
We enjoyed everything with the exception of our plantation guide - he used some profanity laced comments and with a mixed audience we didn't find that appropriate.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the island immensely.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Only bus tour guide that didn't ask/have the tip jar out.

Pros: pretty much everything

Cons: being dogged by photographers
