The ship Carnival Conquest was a great experience for first time cruisers. My wife had never been on a cruise but I have so she enjoyed it to the fullest.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Overall quality of the food as average. Due to a mass production of attempted fine dining cuisine, the execution was not there for a majority of the items. Simpler choices for the buffet would suffice. Leave the fine dining to the sit down restaurants. Dining times ambiance and food availability was perfect. Prices for soft drinks including soda's were too high. Leaving the cruisers only to drink overpowering lemonade and aweful hot/cold tea is unfair for the price to pay for the cruise.

Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship's crew was very professional and helpful. Restrooms were always clean and so were the dining areas.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Size of the "Extended Balcony" stateroom was OK. Didnt seem fitting for the price. The bed was supposed to be a king size, but you could feel it was two full sized beds put together. Amenities were great. Location of the room was unfortunate. Room was located on the 10th deck next to the pool, so loud music was constantly playing.
Plenty of shopping! Cayman islands have the best shopping deals and you actually get to shop without having people hound you and follow you around. Went scuba diving which was a "one of a kind" experience. Although it did rain there (first time in 3 month span as we were told) it didnt hamper all of the fun activites that were scheduled.
The shopping port. Taxis take you where you want to go with little to no language barrier. The locals are a little pushy but it was still a great experience. Pancho's backyard was a very tasty restaurant, just be ready for a tummy ache.
The one highlight was the beach. The food was pretty good as well but is drowned by the locals and their behavior. Shopping is unbearable, and the locals are relentless. Best beach was Doctor's Cave and the best restaurant was the Pork Pit.
