A Happy Cruise

Sail Date: July 25, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

We have done 10 cruises mostly with Royan Carribean. This was our first Carnival. and WOW.. we are 50 years old and have a 12 year old. The BAND at the pool was so loud we could not talk, think or read or relax. We eventually had to leave the FAMILY pool area and go to the ADULTS pool.. where our son was not allowed to swim!!! The same goes for the BAND in the Casino. Could not even think, relax or enjoy.. so LOUD!!! Why put a LOUD band in a CASINO. keep it in the DISCO!!!!! ALL abit strange.

Pros: food and cabin

Recommends Carnival Conquest? No.

Ship Quality
Ship layout was very difficult to get used to. Normally takes us a day. But on this ship could only walk from front of the ship to the back of the ship on DECK 5 and 8...weird!!!
Pool's very small. Could never find a Restroom.
TERRIBLE> TERRIBLE TERRIBLE..very LOUD DEAFING .. we could not understand why it was so so LOUD. could not talk, think or communicate at the POOL or ANYWHERE ther was a BAND or entertainment. Other entertainment was fine. Good Jugggler and the magic show was good. Only can watch so much singing and dancing. Royal Carribean has better activities.

Cabin / Stateroom
Size great, bed very comfortable location good. Cupboard s great
Service and Staff
Godd, always ready for a laugh
Food and Dining
Food excellent. Did not even go to the upscale Steakhouse for an extra cost of $30 as it was that good. Formal Dinngroom dinners was great. Breakfastin formal diningroom was slow.. Lido Buffet average.
