Review summary
The Captain and Staff were most wonderful considering we were in the middle of the Gulf when Hurricane Ike destroyed our Port in Galveston and most of the passengers cars. They held us at bay for a couple extra days, we woke up at Grand Cayman, getting dressed and excited to hear the announcement that Grand Cayman was closed and wouldn't let us Taxi in due to rough waters! This was a major disappointment since they built up Grand Cayman as the highlight of our trip! Once we were told New Orleans would let us pull in the their Port, the phones were jammed and cell phones didn't work. The whole cruise was very rough and I'm so sad that it was a first cruise for my new Husband. Not at all normal.Ports of call
Pros: Great Onboard Staff
Cons: The Hurricane "Ike"
Recommends Carnival Conquest? Yes!
