Review summary

I have nothing to compare to but I found the Carnival Conquest a comfortable ship to sail on and she handled the seas well. We had a balcony stateroom which afforded a less cramped atmosphere in the cabin. The decor was not breathtaking but I did not expect it to be on a party ship. There was a shortage of hot tubs as they were full most of the time otherwise there were plenty of ammenities aboard. The Lido deck restrooms at times could have been cleaned more often especially during activity times. We were on deck 8 and did notice that the glass elevators would bypass that floor for some reason even when the elevator was not full.

Took a 4x4 jeep tour through port promotions. We drove our oun jeep with 2 guides to a beach for snorkelling and included a buffet lunch.....Saw mostly angel fish ..We were not sure that our jeep would make it but it did with the engine light on all the way...food was great and we had a lot of fun. Saw a small mayan ruin along the way that had been a lighthouse and some alligators as well.

Did only shopping and walking around here. Good deals on jewelry and watches. Beautiful Island. Margaritaville restaurant was expensive

The Appleton Rum tour was excellent...super lunch and the 2hr bus trip travelled through so much of the countryside giving us a good idea how people live there. The scenery was wonderful as well. The bus ride there was a little scary on the narrow switchback roads but we had a good driver.

Pros: food and entertainment

Cons: bingo was too expensive
