I give this cruise an 8 out of 10. I know it is a family cruise but children should not be permitted in the dance clubs at night. Parents start drinking and don't supervise their children. Kids running all over the club bumping into people, not ok.

The main dining rooms had great food and outstanding service so did the specialty restaurants. The buffets could use a little upgrade in the food selections. Not so tasteful

Lots of great activities. Just wish they had more to do on the adults only decks. Has a bar but would be nice if the also had a restaurant. Defenately need to inforce the "ADULTS ONLY" rule and the people saving chairs for others that are not there at all or have left

I would have given a 5 stars if the Latin musical was with Latin singers. Looked like the same singers did all the shows so that threw it off a bit. With that being said everyone worked very hard and gave it their all. Great performers.

The staff is amazing. They serve you hand and foot. Very well mannered and ready to serve you when you ask. Our room attendant was spectacular he made sure we were happy every day

Beautiful ship. Very well designed. . Could use a lot more directionals in the hallways seems like a lot of people were lost. As far as cleanliness I think something needs to be figured out so that people don't leave dirty dishes in the hallways. Maybe an interior room container to leave all the dishes in so the attendant knows he/she can remove them...
Cabin / Stateroom

Our room did have a whistle sound most of the time when we opened the balcony but I think it was just a door repair that needs to be done. Our room was great, our attendant made sure we were good.
Ship tip
Be patient, give yourself extra lead time for shows and entertainment as well as food. Lines get long and the sitting is limited.
I didn't get much of the island. I have lived in the Dominican Republic and been there to visit many times. But the only thing that screamed DR was the music and the attendants. I did not find any Dominican Island food. Mostly everything sold for food was American food. We didn't do any excursions too scared to
Loved this port. Just gave me a better feel of the island. Tons of shopping locations and plenty of restaurants with Puerto Rican Food and Drinks. Did do some excursions around the island. Been to Puerto Rico many of times so we are very familiarized with the island..
It is a beautiful island but unless you do excursions there was nothing to do on the port. There was no caribbean food any were. We got there at 7am and none of the shops opened until 10 am. Just not well coordinated. The boat could have told us that before we walked a couple of miles to find everything closed.
Needs to be more coordinated. The elevators were a mess. Congested. No one was cooperating and people were so inpatient. Maybe do one floor at a time or make everyone stay in their rooms until they are called. I know it's not Carnival's fault but if they can coordinate with some of the area hotels to let the guest in before their regular check in that would be nice. We got off the boat appr. 9am and could not check into our room until 4pm to fly home the next morning.
