Carnival Breeze 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise by jyyinwang

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Friendly and efficient crew member at the dinning room and stateroom.  Except Restaurants Manager/Asst. Managers never greet us even face to face when we

walked in for evening dinning.

There was no non-smoke area for Casino players, whole Casino is full of smoke,

very bad for non-smilers, especially people with allergy and asthma.  Noise level

was very high, especially at night after people drink too much.

All three ports not much to do, except Nassau, Bahamas was Okay.Nervous

My advice to people if you wish to have a calm, comfortable and enjoyable voyage

please do find another ship or another cruise line.

Good cruise, but not impressed by 7timecruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my 7th cruise over the past 16 years and the second one with Carnival. I'd heard the Carnival Breeze was a bigger, newer ship and was disappointed it's not designed, outfitted, or decorated nearly as lavishly as Royal Caribbean ships and has an "economy" look and feel to it. While the food was good, the shows entertaining, and the staff helpful and friendly, I've grown used to a certain level of quality, service, and amenities on a cruise and can clearly see how Carnival has cut or lessened these things to maximize profits. To be fair, other cruise lines have done the same thing, but I haven't noticed it as much as with Carnival. I guess you get what you pay for. In the future, I'll probably spend a few more bucks and book with Royal Caribbean.

Bahamas cruise by cindithibodeaux

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was good.  The boat seemed a bit unorganized and the waits were way longer than previous cruises (surprising since we went in summer last time and feb-march this time)  We had fun but will not book through ever again.  They shorted us all of our on board credits.  Can't do anything about it once we were on boat so lesson learned.  We will use a diff travel site in the future for our cruises.

The Breeze is a great ship; love Carnival by rileyswa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

1st time leaving from Galveston.  Things to know?  Yes, like Alaska only flies in/out 1x/day, meaning when you disembark the ship, you will not be able to get rid of your bags until 2 hours before your flight.  Meaning?  When you arrive at 12 noon, getting off the ship as late as you can, you are stuck with your bags until 3:30 PM!  Warning.  No place to store them in Galveston airport either.  Suggestion?  Go to the Marriott and hang out until the ticket counter opens :)  Our cruise ended up missing Grand Cayman because of too much windy weather so they added another sea day.  Usually fine, but 4 sea days and 2 shore days made the cruise feel a bit unbalanced.  Nothing we could do though. Ship was beautiful, entertainment staff, cruise director (Leigh), Punchliner comedy guests fabulous.  Missed that there isn't an Alchemy Bar, but hear it's coming.  Montego Bay Jamaica tours with Chukka were crazy disorganized, but we still had great fun on zip line, tubing, and horseback riding tour.  But seriously, Carnival?  Have signs up for "each and every" tour you sell!  We spent 30 minutes just getting matched up to a bus for our particular tour with Chukka because there was no specific sign for us to go to.  And the driver was late getting back to the ship, so we did a lot of "suicide" driving on the bus back to the ship...crazy!  But we made it.  Food on Carnival these days in regular dining room is outstanding.  No need for specialty dining.  And 1st meal on board?  Of course, Guys' Burger!  Will be back!

best Cruise ever by Cruiser37556120

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I am already booking next year and am bringing a new cruising friend with me.  I would not hesitate to recommend Carnival.  There is something for everyone.  You can exhaust yourself covering all the activities or snooze thru the entire week on the serenity deck..  You can eat yourself into a coma or have yogart and fruit.  The choices are endless.

Our 11th Cruise by Cruiser61044005

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food was excellent.  There were many choices to choose from.  All of the staff was great; very friendly and accommodating.

We had a cove balcony, which we really enjoyed.  We liked being closer to the water.

It seemed as if there were more seating areas available to eat at on the Lido deck than on other ships we have been on.  Also, there were a lot more lounges available on the top decks to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sun and warm breezes.

It was a much needed, enjoyable getaway!!!

Good trip by Cruiser91153230

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a good trip however we are not excited to book another cruise. We missed the port of Grand Cayman due to weather. That was quite upsetting. Also, the entire second floor, where our cabin was located, smelled rather foul for most of the trip. It was quite unbearable in certain spots. We were also unimpressed with the cluster of a carnival excursion. There were way to many people, it was supposed to be a 2 hour excursion and lasted over 5 hours. We were nearly late to the boat almost running to get back on time.

The best thing about the trip was the food. We really enjoyed the variety offered. All of the staff on board was very friendly. There is always something to do.

Sailing on the Breeze Celebrating 10 years by RoppinRonnies

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I really enjoyed my cruise and believe that the other 5 passengers who sailed along with me for my Husband and My 10th Wedding Anniversary did too!  We LOVE sailing with Carnival Fun Ships because even though we are in our 50's we still love to have FUN!

Our Cabin Steward Daranee was absolutely AWESOME.  She inquired as to when we wanted service and took great care of us!  It always amazes me how they remember all of our names!

Our Dining Staff was AMAZING!  All the way from the Assistant Maitre d' April to the head waiter Ronaldo, to the assistant waiters Michael and Simeon!  They served us each night and remembered each night our preference of drinks (lemonade and iced tea) and had them on the table waiting for us to the grated cheese (heavy) on my salad.  They were amazing and Michael's dance moves are great!

The Entertainment staff is always a key area for us because we like to have FUN!  Leigh was an AMAZING Cruise Director.  We also enjoyed Caviar and William and want to thank each of them for what they do.

The ship was GREAT!  The water slides were EXHILARATING!  It was a much needed and enjoyed trip!

The only complaint that I have is the Manager of the Pixels Gallery. She had a very nasty attitude on the last day of the cruise and the information that was posted in the Debarkation Information ("Photo Purchases at Pixels Gallery:  Our photographers will be happy to assist you for any last minute purchases. 7:00 am-9:00 am Pixels Gallery, 4 Fwd") I was told was not accurate.  Being that this was my 10th Anniversary I wanted to purchase photos as memories.  I specifically wanted the embarkation photo because it was the only photo that had the entire group of family and friends who celebrated with us.  One of the members of the group had already purchased the original printed photo and I wanted to purchase the printed version and the download version.  I realized that online on the Carnival Hub app it was more expensive, so opted not to purchase online.  When arriving at the Pixels Gallery I was told that I could only purchase what was on the shelf and photos could no longer be purchased through the app.  Needless to say I was not very happy with that option because the specific photo that I wanted had already been purchased.  I was told that a duplicate could not be printed and so I asked for a manager to assist so that I could somehow obtain this photo.  When speaking with the Manager (whose name I neglected to obtain), she first had a very nasty attitude when I told her what my situation was.  She repeated what the photographer stated earlier...that I could only purchase what was on the shelf.  She failed to listen to what I was asking and ended up stating "you decide what you want" and walked away.  I have never had this type of service on a Carnival Cruise and was extremely upset.  My son told me to let it go and we determined that I could purchase the download version of the photo from the app.  I did this.

Magnificent by newbiecruiser22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my first cruise and my girlfriend's 8th cruise with Carnival.  Speaking for both of us, I can say that the service we received was outstanding.  The crew was absolutely spectacular;  nice, courteous, friendly, professional, helpful.  I can say without a doubt that Carnival will be my choice for cruise ships.  A special thanks goes out to Costin (head waiter) and Lynn (hostess).  Not only were they professional but I felt as if they were my best friends by the end of the cruise.

Good times lots of Good people by marrisacan342

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

As always super friendly staff! Good times onboard with lots of fun activities in the fun times. Madja our head waitress from two of our dinner nights was amazing. Her helper Ivana was just as awesome. Lots of close attention and crazy fast service. We had dinner in the sapphire every night and their service was by far the best! Our room attendants were superfriendly and always helpful. Blue Iguana tacos were delicious please keep them. More hours of taco availability would be sweet! Guys Bugers were delicious and a big hit with our group. My wife loves the melting chocolate cake but most nights it was watery hot chocolate. Staff was always helpful in getting ahold of one to her liking. We book a yearly trip with another couple as the Valentines Cruisers. Baja Mexico 2018 here we come!

My experience on Carnival breeze by norcon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Well cruise was nice but as promised by I didn't get my on board credit as I was to get. I call and carnival called from the ship for 3 days and no one at cruise 411 could or would get a answer. When I'm promised something and pay for it as I did booking 6 months ahead of time I should get it. I have a sour taste of using anytime in the future.

Anniversary cruise by gloriaandy421

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Shows excellent, food very good, cabin excellent, service excellent,

BReeze  did not have the regular BIG Promenade like in previous cruises.

Future cruises spot have no room to wait, the line was too big on a VERY SMALL promenade. I bet they lost bookings, they lost mine.

farewell carnival we won't miss you by home3375

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I would not recommend this cruise to anyone. the ship is set up for 2000 guests and 1000 workers and they put more than 3000 guests on the ship. there is line ups for everything. when we took our first cruises there were 2 waiters for 3 table, now they have 2 waiter for 6 to 8 tables. The workers work very hard but they our just overworked by management. the food was subpar compared to other cruises. On this one the soups and the breads were good but not the rest. The people who kept the rooms clean did an excellent job. the rooms are very small. there is no sports anywhere and there is no sports bars. or espn. The breckfast menu did not change for 7 days and the lineups for omlettes were 10 deep. They disttroyed our luggage getting it up to our rooms  and would not accept any responsability  for any of it. there were lineups for all the activities on the 12 th floor. The only ggod desserts were in a seperate case on the 5 th floor that you had to pay extra for. The cookies they served could have been used for hockey pucks. When we first started cruising the dinning hall was open for breckfast, lunch and supper, not any more just supper. This cruise line needs a big change at headoffice as they are going down fast.

A fun time on the Breeze by gaynell2142

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Love cruising out of Galveston, as it is an easy drive from Austin.  Plenty of storage and easy to put away a weeks worth of clothes.  Super friendly crew!!!!  Food was excellent (and I've cruised on numerous cruise lines including the #1 river cruise line in Europe).  Splurged one night on the Steakhouse and it was extraordinary.  Comedy shows in the Punchliner were hysterical!  The show "Flick" in the main showroom was the probably the best "revue" type show I've seen on a ship.  Great value!!!!!!!!

Favorite part of my cruise were my naps. Yes...my naps. Movies were ehh

.the food was horrible. Even the fresh fruit was nasty. The pizza stayed burnt. The pool water was always cold. And i do mean freezing. The hot tubs were very nice. The ship crew were amazing...

Great Cruise, but be prepared to spend some money! by rhluchan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We loved all the stops and excursions we went on. There was plenty to do on the boat with activities planned the whole time. The only bad thing is how expensive drinks are. You are allowed to bring some with you, but between the cost of alcoholic drinks and gratuity it can get expensive. The food was great! We had both good and bad service in the dinning room, but the good food usually made up for it.

Carnival Breeze by cruisinmama32

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The breeze is a nice ship. Embarkation and debarkation were much more organized then other times I have cruised. The Breeze is a big ship with many passengers but it never seemed crowed unless by the pool. so my husband and I usually stayed on the serenity deck during the day and at night went to the pool when everyone was at early dinner since we dine late. we really LOVED guys burgers and the lines weren't to long either. as for the comedy shows they had one of the same comedian from the last cruise we were on and he did the exact same act. so that was a little upsetting. still funny. but the other comedian we had not seen and they were really good.
