Took first Royal Caribbean in March and thought we would be spoiled to go back on a Carnival with an interior cabin. We had an amazing time, found things to do even on the Costa Maya day which turned into a fun day at sea. The ship added Bingo and a Showdown game show. The Bingo game added big prized too.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Did 2 nights at Steakhouse. Very reasonable for the quality of food, ability to try things you normally would not be able to try, ambiance and service that is provided. Also did Italian restaurant one night, super inexpensive for food, ambiance and service. Was with m 18 yo daughter who can appreciate the meals.
Onboard Activities

Pools, fitness center, bingo and showdown. We did bingo and showdown and Dive inn movie. Pool was always crowded.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The comedians were hysterical especially in the 18+ shows. The performers(singers and dancers) were amazing. The Flick show was amazing. We loved all the shows. Having been in big productions I can be critical but they were fantastic. The performers were very nice even in person.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The waiters in the specialty restaurants were on point, well versed in their products. They understood taking time to allow the diner to enjoy and savor the food. The main dinning room felt rushed which is understandable but the ratio of waiters to tables seemed low. Bar staff always seem frazzled but we are patient. Did seem to be more waiters walking around to provide drinks to those on lounge chairs which was super nice. Mohammed our room steward was amazing. Always a wave Hello and greet by our name. Fast and furious in and out of our room. Bless his heart my daughter is a bit messy as well he would try to straighten her side.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was kept clean by staff. There are some areas that do get bogged down especially when the ship is at capacity with 4,700 people. Buffet lines, comedy club to get in, pools especially the hot tub. I think the smoking area is in a bad spot for the non smokers. I understand it is still a very much requested amenity but it is very much central. I think the crew does an excellent job of cleaning as quick as possible.
Cabin / Stateroom

We LOVED where our room was. We were in 11216. We have found we like the niche areas. It is not a large cabin area and the only time people are there are to go to their cabin. Not a lot of traffic. All the previous cruises we have had we have stayed in a balcony I was concerned about seasickness and claustrophobia. The room was perfect and honestly cold. You are able to have better A/C control in those rooms. They are quiet, but as other people have said make sure you look to see what is above and beside and below your cabin. It was not pitch black because a little light came through the cabin door
We did. The snuba excursion with Sand Dollar and DiDi was amazing. Super patient with teaching us. Very kind and knowledgeable. Concern for the environment
