Review summary

It was ok for the most part. I didn't experience much difference on this cruise than the first cruise. The one thing that upseted me was when we were getting close to Costa mayo, the cruise director chimed in and assured us that we were cleared and good to dock at port. But for some "strange" reason, as we were getting near the dock the ship started turning away and as we were turning away the director chimes back in and states that they were unable to dock due to weather concerns 🤷🏽‍♂️. Which came minutes after he told us that the weather was good and we were cleared to dock. Totally made no sense. WHATSOEVER! I personally felt we got robbed out of the full experience of our cruise due to paying over several thousand dollars to go somewhere we have never been. Which we've been to cozmel on our first cruise, so it wasn't a biggie to revisit it.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There wasn't anything different between our first cruise on the triumph and this one.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food options weren't all that great. Everything was tasteless, and some none appetizing.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There weren't really good activities on board (that didn't involve drinking or gambling) that was fun to do as an adult.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The comedy hour was ok.i personally didn't like the comedian material due to it being to EXPLICIT for anyone to listen to! The love&marriage questionnaire was fun, funny, and entertaining. And the music of choice played during the entire cruise didn't please my ear taste.just my personal opinion.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff were amazing. Everyone greeted you with a smile. We especially like our housekeeper, he was awesome! Called us by our name every time he saw us. Can't remember his name.but he worked on the 9th floor

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Some of the carnival ships are designed the same. So I didn't see much of a difference. and cleanliness of the ship was good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the size of the room was a nice fit for four.

Ship tip

Don't have high expectations.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Disembarking was kind of a long process. And as we were waiting to get off ship, it started to rain, so at that moment, they started rushing the process to get us off so they could get the new cruisers on. We then got off ship only to find ourselves standing in the rain(literally) getting wet up as we had to wait on shuttles to load us and drop us off at our lot🤦🏿‍♂️( terrible experience) And not only that.we stood where we were told to stand to wait for our shuttle (which took over 2 hours before we finally got on one)only to be told by the loader of the shuttle that we were in the wrong area and we were supposed to be over on the other side of port terminal where our shuttle services for the lot we parked in was picking up. But thanks to the driver of the shuttle, we were about to get on. He decided to load us and not make us have to wait nor walk over to the other side of the port and possibly wait another hour or so! He made a personal detour to drop us off at our lot.
