Review summary

Overall it was a fun family vacation and a good experience for our first cruise.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Could have been smoother if we weren't carrying our luggage all over the place.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Most of the food was good, the staff was amazing! Drink packages were not worth the money for us as it was difficult to get kids sodas because they were mostly at the bars and not cold. Alcohol package wasn't active the first day when I wanted it the most .

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools, hot tubs, slides, rope course, art exhibit, library, arcade, bingo, trivia, comdey, and shops.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Only saw the comedian for his pg-13 show and it was pretty good. Definitely got me laughing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Darwin kept our room clean and all the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful! I really enjoy the diversity of the staff.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship over all was clean but maybe just the fact that it's a giant boat on the water, there was a musty smell in the rooms and hallways.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was kept clean, it was of course small for 4 people as expected. There weren't enough outlets and I always felt like the carpet was slightly damp.

Ship tip

We were towards the front of the ship so we did quite a bit of walking since most of the time we at the back of the bar. So if you want less walking keep that in mind.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We didn't do an excursion in Cozymel, just some tourist shopping. It was fun, many of the shops are over priced for tourist but some do have some unique items.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
We did a Mayan ruins tour and cenote swim with local cuisine that was all amazing.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Horrible! They locked the elevators so only 1 was in use. We were the first group called so hopefully they fixed the problem for others. Because of this people including us were forced to take the stairs with all of our luggage and children. It was difficult and chaotic and my child with severe anxiety was crying through most of the process and I had no hands available to help her.
