Review summary

This was a great post COVID trip. We felt safe and had a great time. The cruise director made it extra enjoyable. First time with “Cookie” and will book with him again in the future.

Great super fast compared to others

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Buffet was amazing for breakfast, main finding room was great for dinner, we ate at sushi and steakhouse a couple nights and those were worth the cost. They were so good! We are guys and blue iguana a few times and I can’t believe those are included. Also late night cravings at pizza place was so worth the long lines.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool however I wish there was an adults only pool. Other than this we did some trivia and casino.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The deck parties were so fun thanks to the cruise director cookie. The shows were good but not the best in my opinion. We enjoyed the comedy show however we felt bad for Mr. Carl Strong who had a heckler the first late show and he couldn’t get through his set and none of the staff came to help him. Every time we ran into him around the ship he would vent his anger and frustration about how that was handled.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff we interacted with was amazing. We loved Ernest in the buffet, Joy at the steakhouse, PhyPhy at the sushi, and absolutely loved Komang at the atrium bar. Cookie the cruise director was AMAZING. We have cruises many times and the cruise director never really stood out or made a difference in our experience and he definitely did. We were so happy everyday because of his announcements and interactions.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything seemed clean and organized for the most part. We never saw our room steward which was different. On pst trips we saw them all the time and got to know them.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We LOVE booking balconies but we didn’t use this one much because it literally hung over the hot tub so we felt like we had no privacy and it was so loud. Plus at night we could hear the chaos and music from the liquid club.

Ship tip

Let go and have fun.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
My family lives in the area so always easy to make the drive to catch up with family then get dropped off at the port.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

It was our first time and it was not fun. Everything was the highest priced and the people on the port seemed extra pushy. It did rain a lot and we arrived very late.

Cozumel, Mexico

Always book cruises with this stop. It’s an amazing port w lots to do and great people.

Disembarkation

This was the LONGEST process I’m the many cruises we have ever taken. Our muster station was going to be 2nd to last to get called and we timed it took about 30 mins per group to get off. Thankfully a staff member who you could tell was just wanting everyone off came and told us to just get off even though we weren’t anywhere near our groups time.

Appreciate your feedback. Now you know that particular location for a cabin is not what you want. We have found Cookie to be delightful! Glad you enjoyed your cruise!
