Review summary

We loved the itinerary as well as the 2 at sea days. There is so much to do on board and off. We didn’t do any excursions and didn’t feel the need to. There was more than enough to do on our own! We cruised with “children” ages 13-20 and there was a lot of fun for them too! We love carnival and would cruise again!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

We didn’t do an excursion but loved the cape Canaveral area

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

This port is amazing! Other than no beach in the actual ship port it’s perfection! The pool area is large and the seating is amazing! Great shopping nice exchange rate and friendly people!!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

The ship port itself is an absolute dump. We did go to Magens Bay which was the most amazing part of our cruise. Due to the port itself I wouldn’t look to cruise to St Thomas again but would visit the area in a different fashion.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
The most amazing culture and nice port! So much to do I would certainly return to this port!

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Get off early to get a good clam! They are free! And if you go to the right it’s less crowded! The beach is a bit rocky Bring water shoes and snorkel mask!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy!

The port on St Thomas is not the whole island. The old town area is great with many really historic places to see. I am glad you got to Magens Bay - truly one of the earth's gems! We love St Thomas for history (Pirate Museum at the port is awesome), great beaches, great snorkeling, great excursions, and great self-directed exploration. Give it another try!
