Review summary

Beautiful weather but had some days with high seas making it difficult to walk around on the ship. Never got seasick though. Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and would recommend it to others.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Had the earliest embarkation time and arrived early but lots of people already there/waiting so seating was scarce. Had difficulty hearing who was called for boarding over speaker system; too many people talking, etc. They showed it on a tv screen but there was a delay putting it up. Was good otherwise.

Ship experiences

Pizzeria

The quattro formaggio (sp?) was my favorite.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Attended the Ladies Pamper Party as well as several presentations about each port of call. Bingo with Mama Lou was fun! Happy to support St Jude with the fundraiser; got a t shirt and wrist band with my donation. Never got in the pools/hot tubs-too small and too many kids.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed all the shows we attended: Love and Marriage, Flick, Motor City, Welcome Aboard. Comedy club (late show) with Tim ? (can’t remember his last name) was hilarious! Watched 2 dive in movies:Captain Marvel and Toy Story 4. Get there early for a good seat.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room stewardess Carmina was so sweet and did an awesome job keeping our cabin clean/stocked! Received excellent service from the steakhouse wait staff as well as MDR. Lots of hard working staff trying to keep up with keeping tables/areas clean on Lido but sometimes hard to find an empty table that was clean especially towards the end of the cruise. Always received a good morning or other greeting from staff as we passed them which was nice!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Always saw a crew member cleaning something. Usually did exterior ship cleaning at ports. There was some wear and tear but that’s to be expected with so many people on board each week and the salty sea air. Bathrooms were difficult to locate; you could walk right by one and not realize it until you learned where they were. Maps at the elevators helped.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Loved the cove balcony cabin! Some very minor wear and tear but not really worth mentioning. Husband didn’t care for the “crack” in the bed where they put the 2 twin beds together to make a king. I thought the bed was comfortable but they need to figure out something to do to make the crack less noticeable. Lots of good storage areas. Could’ve used a light at the outside makeup area.

Ship tip

Go early to any of the shows, movies, t shirt sales, etc, for best seats and selection. Book your time dining so you don’t miss any shows/events.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Still rebuilding from the hurricane so lots of street construction which making it difficult to shop/get around in Charlotte Amalie. The gondola to Paradise Point was also not running when we were there. Did a catamaran snorkeling trip to turtle bay that was lots of fun.

Port Canaveral, Florida

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Loved the architecture of old town as well as the fort. Umbrellas were up at Forteleza street! Wish the trolley was running-did lots of walking.

Grand Turk Island

Went to Jack’s shack at the beach. Get there early for a front row spot. Hands down the prettiest water on our cruise!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Did the zip lining with lunch and beach. Was lots of fun!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Did self assist with our luggage and they called our deck (2) pretty quickly. Elevators manned by ship personnel that took you straight to disembarkation deck which was nice. Facial recognition for passport holders was a big plus! No customs check. Excellent!!!

We had Carmina too when we sailed September 7 in cabin 2284. She is the best steward we have ever had!

Great review, thanks! Going on the Breeze June 2020 and staying on deck 2 also. Never have stayed that low, but we shall see how we like it!
