Hurricane Humberto tried to dampen our spirits right off the bat (The Breeze Rocks). The seas, the night of embarkation, were as rough as I have ever seen. Just eat a green apple and go about your fun.
There were so many friendly people on this cruise. We met so many new friends. I am glad we chose The Breeze
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites with the "Cruise and Park" Package. Shuttle was super easy and fast. From the time we arrived at the port, it was only 20 minutes and we were on the ship. Port Canaveral is SO much easier than New Orleans.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I'm giving this 5 stars because of the exemplary service in the MDR. Our wait staff seemed to anticipate our needs and always provided. The seaday brunches were awesome as well. What more can be said about Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana. (Try the Heuvo Rancheros with fried eggs!)
The Lido Market Place? Not so much. Try to avoid if possible.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We tried the main pool but (when it was open) was too crowded. The Tides pool, however, was always fun. We had lots of fun, meeting lots of new friends there. The ropes course, putt-putt, and corn hole on the sports deck were entertaining.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The singers, musicians, and "other" entertainers were just "so-so". We enjoyed them for the most part.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
From Mr T, our steward, to the wait staff in the MDR, to every other ship employee, we had a very pleasant experience. I can't brag on them enough!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I've read reviews stating the ship is tired and needs refurbishment. I did NOT come away with this impression. Everywhere you turn, you see people cleaning. And they did a great job. The ship is not perfect. I was not expecting perfect; just a good time. Check
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was exactly what we expected. We did not pay up for a suite and did not expect suite amenities. The bed was comfortable and the shower was clean with hot water. That's all we needed.
Ship tip
When you get to your cabin, memorize which way is front and back. It will save you some steps.
King's Wharf is really touristy. But, there is lots to do. We rented scooters and toured the island on our own. Bermuda is the most beautiful island I have ever seen. One day is not enough. Tip: bring lots of money. it's expensive there.
We just stayed around the ship and walked the beaches. Went to Jack's Shack and had lunch. (the place is a dump, don't waste your time.) We later went to Marguaritaville and had a good time in the pool with new friends.
