Review summary

We enjoyed the cruise as much as we could, wish it was a little smoother but it was out of anyone’s control I guess without changing up the itinerary. Not our favorite but we made the best of it.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were shuttled to the port from Park Port Canaveral which I highly recommend! We arrived around 11am and were on the boat with drinks in hand around 11:15am. Very smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The MDR was great! The service was very attentive even though I feel they had too many tables ( they never got a chance to stop!! ) we never went without anything and we were constantly checked on!

Cucina Del Capitano

5 out of 5

Staff amazing! Food was good but compared to Royal Caribbean’s Italian restaurant this was just ok lol but all in all still good. Me and my wife were pleased with everything we had, just wish we had more opportunities to try different dishes.

Bonsai Sushi

5 out of 5

My wife enjoyed this place very very much, not a fan of sushi myself but she was very pleased

Guy's Burger Joint

3 out of 5

I remember the burgers being a lot better from the previous cruise but maybe it was me, I still enjoyed them just the flavor wasn’t there for us. Staff was great and moving through the line was a breeze.

Pizzeria

5 out of 5

Always good especially after hours! Lol nothing like pizza after a day full of drinking

Lido Marketplace

4 out of 5

Decent food, have had better but also at times I have had worse. Always clean! Lines could be hectic but what do you expect especially on sea days.

Plaza Cafe

5 out of 5

Probably the spot we visited the most and it was always great! Love our coffee

BlueIguana Cantina

5 out of 5

One of favorite places! Food always good just very unorganized at times with other guests ordering over you or vice versa lol but they always got the order right!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
No chance on getting in pools ( when they were open ) unless you got there early or liked bumping elbows with everyone which first off is a big turn off to me, don’t understand why the pools are so small with the amount of deck space that was available but whatever I’ll stick with Royal Caribbean on that aspect as well. The ship activities were decent and if you enjoy shopping then I’m sure it was a blast lol

Winner's Luck Casino

1 out of 5

Nothing against any of the staff or the games itself, it’s almost impossible to enjoy being in there with the amount of smoke in the room! And I really thought it was half smoking and half non smoking?? I guess that’s not a carnival policy?? The smell would linger halfway through the boat and a few decks up 🤢

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows we went to were all great! If you can’t enjoy the shows you must just be a negative person lol

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff made the trip! The room stewards, the dining room staff, all of the staff in actuality were fantastic with fulfilling their jobs and their attitudes! Couldn’t ask for more!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Not a fan of the design but it was always clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Normal balcony cabin. Clean

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Got there late which sucks but the time we spent on the beach was great until the crowds starting moving down to where we were lol I recommend jacks shack which is about a 5 minute walk down the beach away from the pier

King's Wharf, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Wish the time we had there was better laid out, getting there late and leaving fairly early doesn’t give you much time to enjoy the beautiful island. We did the twilight glass bottom boat tour which was awesome!!

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
My favorite port! So simple!

Disembarkation

Not a fan of Carnival’s process, we were docked by 6am or earlier but had to wait for our deck number to be called to leave the ship!? I don’t understand why they can’t let people who were ready by 630 to leave aka us to get off, instead they waited for the waiting areas to get congested with the remaining thousands of guests who were not platinum or higher or who had the FTTF. Royal Caribbean again tops carnival with this process! We were off the Oasis by 635 and to our car by 645!

I agree with u on the debarkation with Royal. It’s so smooth and we are always ready to get off early bc of a long drive. Last cruise w them, we were in the car by 7 am. we LOVE carnival, but the only negative I’d say is the debarkation process. Looking forward to my Breeze cruise in June 2020!!
