Over all not a bad cruise. However, don't think I will take Carnival again. Seem to be over crowded so cant really enjoy it. Don't like waiting in lines and not getting what I paid for. Really a "party" ship with lots of younger crowd.
Embarkation

very well. We actually got on about an hr earlier than our boarding time. No waiting in lines
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Buffet lines took way to long, way too many people. Only one person cooking omlettes. Guy Ferreti's burgers good but they would run out of stuff at peak times. Main dining food was sub- par. Steaks/pork chops over cooked and tough. First night didn't get food until 9:30 so we missed the show.
Onboard Activities

Pools were like being in a sardine can- very small for the amount of people on the ship and only had 2 pools for 4800 people! Need to have "cool deck" for waterworks area. Couldn't even walk to the slides, burn your feet! VERY DISAPPOINTED in Spa! We were in cloud 9 spa cabin which included spa. Ran out of the body scrub stuff had to come back 2 days later- this should be in rooms for guest who paid already with their cabin type. Never was greeted when first walking into spa. No one every explained spa services or the different rooms and how they work. Chairs in spa weren't hot at all except for 1 day. No aroma therapy being diffused, one room not even working and ceiling peeling. Thalassotherapy pool one area not working. Casino so smokey and stinky couldn't stand to be in there- not condusive for us "non smokers"= couldn't/wouldn't gamble it was SO BAD!
Cloud 9 Spa

disappointment. never greeted when first walked in, no one explained the rooms or how they work. Ran out of the body scrub we were supposed to get with being in cloud 9 cabin. had to come back 2 days later. Chairs not warm/hot but 1 day. no aroma therapy being diffused. one room not even working and ceiling peeling. One area of thessaltherapy not working.
Entertainment

Shows were pretty good. Have seen better on Splendor. Disappointed that they only had 3-4 shows for entire cruise.
Children's Programs

Didn't like the fact they close at 4pm. You get back from excursion and want to go to spa and relax with spouse but nowhere to put child. Then open at 7pm, well gee, were going to comedy show then dinner. by time get done with dinner, they close for the night = unless you want to pay MORE $$ to have them got. Shouldn't be charged- already paying enough for a child to go on cruise. Didn't seem to do much but color pictures. child was bored
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward, EKA, was awesome. Always smiling and keeping fresh towels, very friendly. Wait staff was very attentive. However, did notice that most staff ( excluding room stewards) started lacking attentiveness, smiles and friendliness towards the end of the cruise- about day 5-6. When you first get on its all smiles and your treated top notch but then as the cruise comes to the end that all changes. Its like "hurry up and get off here"
Ship Quality

The areas were clean but halls smelled musty. Noticed a lot of ceiling leaks. A lot of areas need to be painted and ship seems old, needs updated.
Cabin / Stateroom

bed was comfortable, nice being able to control A/C. Had to call maintenance as door to balcony wouldn't shut and making howling wind noise. He came right away and fixed. clean. fridge could be colder
Ship tip
The ship itself is outdated. If you like ALOT of people, waiting in lines for food, crowded pools ( only 2) then this is the ship for you.
Did dune buggy excursion/snorkel. Fun, but dune buggies need covers as it was hot and the seats got so hot couldn't sit down. Little boring as only road around outside of island. Food was not good at all
Tendor ride was quick and easy. Wish shops had opened earlier, as we knew we wouldn't have time after excursion. Did cave tubing. Was VERY rushed- left 30 minutes late so had to really rush back to make last tender.
This was my favorite port out of all of them. It is beautiful there! We did zip lining. Which was fun but I was scared to death. Those guys work really hard. The beach was nice and there were people selling stuff but they didn't keep pestering you.
The welcome are of this port is nice with the pool etc.. Lots of shops. However, I thought hey were REALLY high priced on stuff and wouldn't go down. Also seemed like they kept bugging you to get something. Didn't do any excursion here, as too long of a bus ride and only seemed like they had walking tours of ruins.
Didnt like how luggage tickets given out. Got there 45 minutes after starting to give out and ALL the early disembark were gone!! Shouldnt let people take tags as they take way too many. Took 2 1/2 hrs to get off ship. Once called, it went pretty quickly though
From Cruiseline.com's overview of Breeze: "Carnival Breeze has...a passenger capacity of nearly 4,000 (which) means crowded public spaces. This ship is not for...cruisers seeking a quiet...cruise." Did you not do any research before your cruise? It's a large ship, lots of people, during summer vacation...crowds to be expected. All ships have lines at buffet stations, perhaps you need to cruise on smaller (i.e., pricier) lines that will cater to your individual needs?
I read this a lot about the ship being over crowded. Next time you get the chance to tour a WWII submarine, please do and think about the 100 men that lived on it.
