Review summary

Overall, quite disappointing. Uncaring and incompetent management, very bland decor on ship, not enough time ashore in ports, MAJOR problems with seating/scheduling in restaurants, very poor level of musicianship from entertainers. Our group of 10-20 repeat cruisers have unanimously decided it is time to look somewhere else besides Carnival for our future cruises.

All lower-level service personnel were WONDERFUL. Upper-level management types were arrogant, snotty, and incompetent.

Ship very clean and new. It just had no "wow" factor at all, the first time I've ever experienced this on a cruise ship. The decor was so generic and bland as to be virtually invisible.

Sorry you had such a poor experience. Wish you had given details for the positive (Amber Cove for example) like you did for the negative. Sometimes a cruise just doesn’t live up to expectations.

Not sure what is meant by Major Problem I’m seating. If you chose Main or Late seating, you should have been assigned a table for the entire cruise. If you used Anytime dining, you do have to wait until tables are available. It sounds like you may have been with a large group that wanted to be seated together. That is usually an issue at most restaurants, not just a cruise ship. They have a limited number of tables that can seat a large party, and if you happen to show up just as others have been seated, then there will be a long wait. As far as the short times in Port, unless there was an issue with the ship being late or leaving early, you should’ve been aware of the port times when you booked the cruise.
