So far, we have not had a bad experience on a Carnival cruise. The Breeze was very nice and clean. Crew was great. The Director, "Donkey" was wonderful.
I am so glad for the Military Appreciation that seems to be exclusive to Carnival. It event is genuine and we have attended everyone of them. On this cruise, there was one additional get together on the last day, which I thought was nice.
I am grateful for the increased emphasis on smokers this year. So many violations in the past by people who just do not care. Glad that Carnival is cracking down on this.
Embarkation

This was our first Faster to the Fun, and it was a wonder experience to move right through.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Did not pay for any food services. All I can say is that if you have had the Main Dining, Guys BBQ and Burgers, Buffet, etc., you would understand my comment that it is consistent (good). The crew, as always is very friendly and focus on your satisfaction.
We had the Mongolian Wok for lunch, it was nice, just like we experienced on the sister ship Magic. We also had it on the Sunshine multiple times. I have always wondered why the lines moved faster on Sunshine than on the other two.
We sea day brunch and sit down breakfasts at every opportunity. On this cruse, these were much more highly attended than in the past. I noticed that on this cruise, you are not offered juice or pastries. You had to ask. This was a John Heald cruise event so there were a significant higher number of "veteran" Carnival Cruisers which may have accounted for the high attendance at breakfast (just my opinion/observation).
Onboard Activities

Nothing of significance to report.
Entertainment

Attended all evening shows and they were great as always. One night, the weather was a bit rough, so the normal show was shifted to just singing. This was really good and showcased the singers abilities!
Service and Staff

Always great. Nothing to complain about at all. Ran into crew that we had meet on other ships and they remember us, even remembered our names in some cases.
Ship Quality

The ship was in great shape and clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was our first balcony. It was a nice experience and nothing to complain about.
Ship tip
Get to Guys BBQ early on embarkation day. Lines can be long on sea days. If choosing a balcony, please note that port side midships, level 5 is one of the smoking areas. Do not get a balcony on level 6 in that area unless you enjoy second hand smoke. We were on the 7th and a little aft of this area. Only caught small amounts of smell in port when there wasn't a breeze.
Did a Carnival Excursion, toured Cigar, Rum and Chocolate factory. If you are into history and wanting to learn about the area, this was not bad at all. This included food.
This was our 4th visit and the first time that we were there with another ship. It was noticeably much more crowded. We only did the beach that was onsite. Buying a beer at Margaritaville is $2 more than buying from the people on the beach. Same beer, so why pay more?
