Over the years, we have noticed a decline in service & quality. Please stop the cutbacks & raise the bar for other cruise liners to reach. Many loyal Carnival cruisers are starting to browse other companies.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining was alright. We had late dining, unfortunately. All of the shows were scheduled right before or right in the middle of our dinner. It took a long time for our food to make it to the table so we were always there for 2 hours. Unfortunately, over the years, the quality of the food has declined. The main dining room food isn’t that good. The flat iron steaks are not juicy, lobster tails are dry, and I will never order the prime rib from there again. The chocolate melting cake was excellent. However, our waiter Rommel was terrific and made sure we always had drinks & that our meal was just the way we ordered it. He got to know each of us & we loved talking to him. Yabba Dabba Do!
Specialty steak house—food and service can’t be beat. It is excellent!
Onboard Activities

On the last sea day, the 40 minute rule was not enforced. Many deck chairs were being saved & there wasn’t anywhere to sit
So we couldn’t enjoy the pool. We ended up on deck 5 while many chairs on the pool deck only had a towel on them most of the day. Please start enforcing the rule.
Entertainment

I was only able to see the comedians, love & marriage show, and the lip sync battles in the evenings. Kim Harrison was great. Lots of laugh & good jokes. I wish I could say the same for the others, but she was the most memorable. I didn’t like Kelly’s shows & will skip them if he is on my next cruise. Chelsea, comedy club, did an excellent job of reserving seats & making sure the guests were behaving. Adam was terrific with lots of energy & enthusiasm. Nothing seemed to phase him and he always stayed professional, regardless of the situation. However, whoever schedules the activities, please change the big shows to be accessible to the early & late dining. Also, many activities were at the same time & then we’d have times when there wouldn’t be any. Please try to stagger them. We loved the Halloween crawl & costume contest, but the contest should be during the deck party. Once the winners were announced everyone left. Also, an 80s night/deck party would be so much fun!

Service and Staff

Our room was always serviced and all of our requests were met. Harri, our room steward, even made sure our fan was on for us when he turned down our cabin. We loved the towel animals, but wish Carnival would bring back putting the chocolates they used to lay out on the beds. Rommel, our main dining room waiter, was great. He interacted with us & was always friendly even when we requested to come late so we could attend the 80s song trivia because it is our favorite & scheduled right during late dining (830pm)
You may still be living in the past. But understand that what looked trendy and exciting 20 years ago is not now. The cruise industry is changing to suit millennials’ taste because they’re the future.
You mentioned under the "Entertainment" section that Chelsea, comedy club, did an excellent job of reserving seats? Is this new? Been on several cruises and have never heard of reserving seats for the comedy club. I know we've never had a problem getting seats on our cruises except for the last one on the sunshine. The room was small compared to other ships. I do know you have to get to them early in order to get a seat but never heard of reserving seats.
Their bottom line (all lines), is profit. If they can still fill the ship and make cuts, they will. I've noticed a steady decline, but still love to cruise!
A lot of the competition is owned by the Carnival Corporation.
The Carnival Cruiseline is their Chevrolet. They're not trying to directly compete against the others (who have also dropped a few amenities).
