Review summary

I would not cruise on this ship again because unable to access pools.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy access getting on ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Didn’t do specialty restaurant this time but food was ok in other areas. Nothing exciting.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Ship activities are NOT handicap friendly. I love to swim but pools had ladders instead of steps (like Royal Caribbean ships) so I couldn’t use pools. Mini golf requires climbing steep stairs to complete game, etc. I did enjoy the bean bag toss competition.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very good entertainment. Violinist were AMAZING & Cowboy comedian was SUPER FUNNY! Schwartz did excellent job of keeping fun going. Talented young man.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I discovered half eaten candy in bottom of my ice bucket AFTER we had both used ice from bucket! Room steward did not empty bucket from previous cruise before refilling it! GROSS!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I realize that ships must constantly be painted but I couldn’t use my balcony 2 days in row because they were touching up paint. I paid EXTRA for use of a balcony that I didn’t get full use of. Also, they do not stress handwashing often like ROYAL CARIBBEAN does.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner was not very cold so had to use a small fan at night.

Ship tip

Good if not handicapped.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

2 out of 5

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5

Belize City, Belize

1 out of 5
Nothing exciting there.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Nice shops set in friendly atmosphere. Paradise beach is nice.

I'm sorry you were not able to access the pools. Disabilities are real and some people don't seem to be very understanding.

There is a pool in the adults only area which would be less crowded

Why couldn't you access the pools? This review leaves so many questions.

Okielady, you should stay with royal c. We have 55 cruises on carnival , and over 400 sea days with 8 more cruises still this year . We will be on the breeze again this Saturday to do a journey for 14 days to port canaveral all carnival ships have the ladders , also you must have had a balcony as big as the ship to have taken 2 days to paint . My wife has had both hips replaced 3 times and also knees replaced . She does fine on the pool stairs . As for the A/C not cool ? Push the lever on the side of the a/c vent and open it wide . And as far as the pools being crowded never go when school is still out , and as far as washing your hands ! Arnt you old enough to know when to wash your hands ? And as for the candy in ice bucket , always rinse it before you first use it .

Ships have small pools mostly filled with kids... but there is a beach at every port!!! Pools are gross anyway unwashed sweaty people, have drinks soak up the sun and wait for the beach

Please explain more. Why couldn’t you access the pools? Is this a ADA violation or was there too many people? Thanks.
