Our family really enjoyed most of the food area's, the kids area's, and when not too crowded the adult area's of this ship. We will not do another Carnival ship do to the inconsistent service and because of the overcrowded nature of Carnival ships. Look at other cruise lines ship size and crew size compared passengers on Carnival and you will see the difference and we felt the difference.
Embarkation

No real issue's with getting on except long lines to park and getting through security but very expected
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Overall food was very good for a cruise. Guy's burger and bbq places were very good. Main dining and Italian restaurant were very good. First two nights though we had very long waits to be seated, very slow service and took over 2 hours to get food one night. Never got drinks we ordered on another night.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
On days we had good weather it was pretty impossible to get loungers in either the main pool or adult area's. Kids really enjoyed the Carnival waterworks and kids camps. Fitness center could be a little bigger for a ship this size and # of passengers. Good locker rooms and sauna area's.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Really enjoyed the shows on board and the movies at the pool. Loungers are not very comfortable for sitting through a movie though
Children's Programs

Our boy's really enjoyed!
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Very hit and miss with service and staff attentiveness and friendliness. Seems to be more consistent on Royal or Princess lines we've been on before. I think the biggest issue is Carnivals passenger to cruise staff ratios which are very heavy on the passenger side.
Ship Quality

Staff did work hard in keeping things clean and ship has an overall good layout and function.

Ship tip
Expect very long lines for food and to get off ship. Great cruise for kids!
Delayed getting off ship due to very long lines which made us 2 minutes late to excursion we booked which you would have thought would be aware of this issue and waited for people like us but did not. We did end up getting to do a later Dolphin time but was very limited on time and ability to do other activities we had planned on.
Everyone has their preferences - It looks like you went during Texas Spring Break, perhaps it made a difference. As for the remark of Princess cruise (It is owned by Carnival, but geared towards a different crowd). We travel with Carnival and LOVE it. It is a great mix for teenagers and parents....so for me that's a WIN-WIN!
Trust me Breeze is just BAD and so is Carnival in general. We Are seasoned cruisers on Princess and Royal Caribbean so we know what we are talking about. Never never again do a Carnival cruise again. And btw....there is a difference between Social and obnoxious....
It has been my observation that those that don't like Carnival usually are not very social, thus the poor remarks aimed at overcrowding. Just saying...
