Review summary

Besides the Dining Room being GREAT and sub par DJ's and HORRIBLE Stateroom Steward, it was just an ok cruise for me, being that I expected from this ship than from others. Giving it one last try before it leaves. Looking forward to it's replacement.

The ships main dining room was super fantastic, especially since they now have Carnivals Greatest Waiter on this ship. His name is Alex Rubin and he was on the Carnival Freedom for all of my 7 day cruises. The other waitress we had was Amy and she was super. Their attention to detail was what sets Carnival apart for me as an Agent and a Customer. We chose this ship last minute and was scheduled to take the Carnival Freedom this summer. Since I found out he is on this ship, I have changed my reservation to this ship once again. Mainly because of him, but to give this ship a second chance.

No Rock Climbing on this ship. Just the Jacuzzi.

Entertainment

Shows were good, Dj's not so good. Played the same songs the entire cruise. Not enough variety. The one lady that played the Steel Drums, was mostly good to herself.

Waiters were great and the staff in the main buffet area were awesome as well. Now the stateroom steward, that is a whole different story. He is the biggest part of the low rating. They would get a zero from me if it was a selection. He could not keep simple things in our room like Ice and Towels. We had to dry off twice with our Carnival Towels, because we ran out of towels. Had to call room service just to get ice. Had to ask other stateroom stewards to help us get towels and ice at night when he was no where to be found. Then on the last night of the cruise when we were packing, we found a towel with human feces on it stuck to the wheels of one of the suit cases, that had been under our bed all week from the previous cruise or even more.

Cabin was very dusty. Had dust on the head board and the lamps. Was not cleaned very well after the previous cruise.

Ship tip

Always go to diner in the restaurant. Experience the atmosphere. Do things out of the norm. Expect the internet to be much slower than you think, and not work as well as they say.
