Review summary

Fun time with friends. Great food. Wonderful staff and clean ship. Carnival, first is a family cruise line-and kids are running everywhere. Parents seemed to have turned their kids over and I don’t think Carnival can totally control them (nor should they be expected to). Carnival does need some curfew rules for kids to be (and stay) in their cabins and a curfew for settling down. We are (young) seniors and were up early to appreciate sunrises, so kids running amuck after 10pm were quite disruptive to our rest!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and efficient, Carnival has the embarkation down to a science. Arrive at your appointed time and you move thru the line quickly.

Ship experiences

Superior food in dining room, wait staff exceptional. Guy’s burgers are excellent, breakfast buffets (eggs benedict!!) were wonderful

Ropes course, miniature golf, shuffleboard, pools and multiple hot tubs

Entertainment

Motor city show was excellent in Ovation theatre; skip the country music revue-didn’t recognize any of the songs and the singers were off key on several

Children's Programs

We didn’t have children traveling with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful service in the Blush dining room from Jaishankar, Francis and Bandana. Table 591 near a rear window had excellent views and outstanding service from our team. They remembered our names, and our preferences!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Didn’t see any dirty places anywhere! Amazing ng!

Cabin / Stateroom

Starboard has the best views, coming and going! Adequate space for two with great storage under the bed for suitcases

Ship tip

Carnival has wonderful Dr Seuss program for children, and that is not so good for adult-only-passengers. Level 9 on our ship was overrun (literally) with unruly kids. Every evening, after we had crawled into bed, there were kids allowed to jump on the beds, run the halls between rooms, squealing and playing chase. The last night of our cruise, this started about 10:00ish and allowed to continue well past 11:30pm. We even had prank calls to our cabin so we unplugged our phone. Carnival doesn’t seem to have an avenue for handling this-Guest Services?, Cabin Steward? Carnival would risk offending the parents by responding, so we tried to handle gently with the children. Next time, we’ll just pick another cruise line! Frequent cruisers don’t seem to get much support here! Carnival should consider ADULTS ONLY floors!!

Catamaran ride to stingray city was fun, Allure was a great catamaran and crew and the water is most beautiful here. I would have loved to shop here too but we had time only to grab a bite and get back to the shop after our amazing visit
