This was an ok winter cruise packed with young party folks and lots of well behaved children. Would have liked ballroom dancing music and dance lessons. Way too many trivia games. I don’t know why they bother with formal nights as most don’t comply. I guess it is to sell photos.

Food and Dining

The main dining room was fantastic with wonderful menu choices. The steak house did not disappoint and had very good selections. Only went to the buffet for 2 breakfast meals and 2 lunches and was disappointed each time. The floor was slippery. The food looked good but was horrible. One morning I wanted peanut butter but it was gone from the crock. I asked for a replacement & was told to go to the back buffet. The desserts looked wonderful but were tasteless as if only less than half of the sugar required for the recipe was used.
Onboard Activities

Loved the thalasotherapy pool. The regular pools were very crowded.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The stage shows were entertaining. There wasn’t any ballroom dancing areas. Dance floors extremely small.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All ship service was excellent. Room steward was fantastic. The first day when we met our steward we were given the option to have our room cleaned only once or twice a day. This is a brilliant move as once a day works well for us.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Promenade deck poorly designed as it was so very congested. Rest rooms few and far between in this deck too. Common areas were kept clean with the amount of people passing thru.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was a spa cabin which was convenient. Our Steward kept it spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet cover was fantastic. The bathroom has a decent sized sink too. Shower was small but efficient.
Ship tip
Carnival Breeze caters to young party people. It would be nice to have more things like ballroom dancing and dancing lessons available instead of endless trivia games.
Did not disembark due to the violence of the place. The military was called out to restore order & cruise director just gave warning to not travel onshore alone.
Hadn’t been to Cozumel in 18 years & what a difference since then. The port is wonderful, built up and lovely. The area just outside the port is great and fun. We did not take an excursion solely because of the weather. It was a bit on the cool side. We did enjoy ourselves walking around and found a wonderful place for a snack, drinks and fast WiFi.
We chose self-service disembarkation and it was a smooth process. Never had time for breakfast but that was ok. Was off the ship and in a Uber cab in 15 minutes.
One of the benefits of a spa cabin is the close relation to the spa (hence the name), which allows easy access to the spa showers as well. Which are larger than the ones in the rooms
