Review summary

Great cruise. Sea’s a little rough late Sunday night and early Monday because of Irma, but after that the trip was fantastic. The Breeze is a lovely ship, cant wait till my next cruise.

Would have given a 5 if i was able to buy FTTF. Attempted to buy FTTF for over6 months. Checked website 2-4 times a day. They need to sell more of these or sell none at all. Book a cruise 1 year out and already old out.

Ship experiences

Entertainment

The shows were ok, nothing to write home about. The comics, bands and bar musically talent is good. The trying group is fantastic, not to be missed. Listened to this talented group every time they played. Wish they put these highly talented musicians in a venue where you could sit and enjoy.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service is slow, the people are very nice and try to be accommodating. My guess is staff ha been cut and why service is suffering. Disappointed in room steward staff. I have cruised for years, room stewards have always serviced room several times a day. This cruise cabin wa serviced only once per day. Had to request towels and ice throughout the day. Room service tray would remain either in or outside the cabin for hours. Tipped the steward extra at beginning of cruise to keep the cabin supplied with ice and clean towels, didn’t get the extra service i paid for.

Cabin / Stateroom

Spa cabin and the amenities that come with it are worth the extra expense. Happy wit the cabin, not with the service. Cabin location is good, not to close to elevator, quiet. Wish they would provide more closet space or at least larger wall hooks or over the door storage.

Ship tip

Take wire hangers you get from your dry cleaner, they never provide enough hangers. If you are an overpacker like me, take plastic over the door hangers for extra hanging space. Pack socks, underclothes, other item that dont wrinkle in jumbo ziplock bags. Makes for easy packing before and after the cruise, easy storage to save space and can use the large bags for wet, dirty clothes. Bring large clips to hold towels on chairs they are also handy to dry your swimsuits if you have a balcony or to hang in shower.

Booked an all inclusive through shoreexcursioneers at Secrets Wild Orchid, best money we ever spent. Beautiful resort, sister properties are next door. Can eat and drink at all properties. The food was delicious, hotel had several food carts that moved around the beach. Facility and beach was beautiful and clean. No wrist band to point out that you were a cruise passenger, felt very welcome.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Carnival cancelled our excursion, went to our favorite resturant for great drinks and lunch. Shopped till I dropped. Would love to spend more time in this port, the 7 am arrival is to early to enjoy a beautiful town and 3 is to early to leave.

Cozumel, Mexico

Went to Chankanaab Park. Great beach, lots to do, great snorkeling, nice pool, safe and clean. Great place for families. Once back to the port had lunch at Poncho’s Backporch, great food, drinks and service can’t be beat.
