Review summary

Great time! This was a typical Carnival cruise for us. The ship is a bit dated but still very nice. The crew was great, friendly and helpful. We didn't particularly enjoy the cruise director (just not as good as others we have experienced) but it did not impact our enjoyment of the cruise. The food was good and they always give you plenty. There were some excellent musicians on board and we enjoyed listening to them in the evenings. Our son always has a blast at Camp Carnival and this trip was no different. Overall we had a great time and look forward to our next Carnival Cruise!

Having a full size shower and extra closet space is nice but this room really wasn't much bigger than a balcony room so I don't think it was worth the price difference.

All Inclusive Passion Island by Catamaran. We had a lot of fun on this excursion. We rented the cabana on the island and I'm SO glad we did that. Our cabin steward brought us drinks all day and we were able to get out of the sun when we wanted to and just relax. It was well worth the money.

Starfish Private Island Getaway with Lunch. The weather was not good that day (intermittent rains and windy) so that made the experience a little worse than it probably would have been otherwise. We had to take a tender from the ship and it seemed like the wait to get on the tender was excessively long. Once we got to the island there really wasn't much to do. There were crushed shells rather than sand so it made walking without shoes painful. They had some water trampolines and water slides but you had to pay extra to use them which didn't make any sense to me. The workers at the island were not particularly friendly and seemed a bit irritated any time you asked them a question. Overall it was just not a good excursion and definitely we won't plan on doing again.

Mayan Princess All Inclusive Resort With Open Bar. We have done this one before and it is always great. You can go down to the beach and then come back and hang out at the pool. The food is always good as are the drinks. The lines can get a bit tiresome but overall it worth the money.

Carnival has never really been able to figure out a way to make this easy and this trip was no different. Certainly if you travel light then it is best to carry your bags off. We never seem to travel light so we have to set our bags out the night before. We've just come to expect delays and chaos and as long as you know it is going to be that way then you can deal with it.

Ok everyone jumped on that one. Dated? Built 2012? Just dry docked? Actyi like Breeze layout better than Vista but both are beautiful. 🤗

it was dry docked in April, so I don't understand how it could be outdated

Only 1 ship newer than the Breeze: the Vista.

Agree bebra, how is it outdated? It's one of the newest in the fleet as I think there are only 2-3 ships newer than the Breeze. The Breeze also spent a couple of weeks in dry dock earlier this year. We sailed the Breeze last summer and it's my favorite of the three we've sailed on. I'll be on the Breeze again in 14 days!
