For anyone skeptical about raffles and drawings, let me assure you they are legit. My wife won a free cruise for 2 from the casino. We are very excited about that.
Also, we tried the spa for the first time ever. We enjoyed our couples massage. It was $350 for the both of us and while worth it, the high pressure sales pitch trying to get us to buy $500+ in creams and “treatments” was unfortunate. Once they realized that you weren’t going to buy it they escort you out ASAP. Because of this, we will not be returning to any more spa treatments on future cruises.
Embarkation

Fantastic. We were able to get Faster To The Fun, which paid for itself immediately as we were directed to a Priority checkin line rig there at the terminal. The whole process at Galveston is well thought out and executed. Very easy, all nice employees. Our checkin time was 10-1030 am. We walked into the ship right at 1130am.
A side benefit to priority boarding is that you can peer into all the rooms that are still being cleaned to get an idea for future cruises.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Blush dining room was amazing each and every day. I’ll be blunt, having paid for the Steakhouse once on a previous cruise, we just don’t see the value in that extra $70 for the both of us. The restaurant quality and service is every bit as elegant as the high dollar Steakhouse. I say save your money.
Onboard Activities

We did Bingo, Serenity deck, fitness center and I did the “Behind the Fun” Tour. For $95,this Tour was worth it. We met in the Steakhouse where refreshments were prepared for us. The Tour was here and a half hours and was fascinating. We met the Captain and were photographed with him. The photos were printed and given to us (8x10,s). We all got free backpacks, hats and the even sent fresh dipped strawberries and pastries to our stateroom. Amazing value and experience.
Service and Staff

What can I say, everyone was fantastic. No bad experiences anywhere. We even watched our waiter deal with difficult people at a neighboring table-he was calm and patient the whole time.

Zero problems here.
Cabin / Stateroom

Excellent room, unobstructed view on balcony. Occasionally heard some minor movement of chairs from the Lido deck above, but it was no problem.
Ship tip
Spend the $95 for the Behind the Fun Tour. You will not regret it.
For the second time, we did the “passion island” boat ride, beach and lunch. Was good, be advised that you will only have 3 hours on the beach, and the island was more crowded this year than last.
Also, my wife has picked up a nasty parasite, which we suspect came from the field here as it’s the only place where she ate different food then me.
Yes, we did the Lanai Mayan Ruins, bus ride, boat trip and hike. Was fascinating and worth it. For the the bus ride was 1.5 hours, 25 minute bus ride and 1.7 miles of hiking on uneven terrain. No problem for us but be advised. Be careful, as the ruins can be very slippery, lots of green algae on the stones.
Just did the local beach. Very nice. Lots of free chairs, first come first serve. You can also rent the covered chairs for $28 for the entire day- we did that which was nice when it rained. 2 options for access the beach. Easy walk or $14 per person for the overhead chair lift (unlimited access for the whole day). Be advised that the chair lift closes when it is raining.
Again, Faster to the Fun is the way to go. We met in the theater at 7am, and walked off the ship at 8. Easy and friendly customs agent too. Busses to parking are plentiful and we were on our at in no time.
Stwrld2126, what week will you be on Breeze in September? We are on a freebie cruise then also (Sept 10). This will be our 5th this year. My husband reeaaalllly enjoys the cards in the casino. Apparently they enjoy him also because they keep giving us cruises. LOL
In September we will be going out on the breeze for the second trip this year. Both of which were a "free trip" given to us by the casino. Now, we gladly pay for the upgrades in the room.
