Review summary

To whom it may concern;
My name is David King.  On Oct 30-Nov 6, 2016- my wife  Melinda and I, took our 4th cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines out of Galveston, Texas. While we have enjoyed our vacations previously, this time was problematic for us. I wish to express my concerns.
We stayed in room 10275 on Lido deck. Upon arrival the Room cleaning service asked if I wanted my room cleaned in the morning or evening.  All that was ever done was trash emptied , towels replaced, and bed turned down . The room and bedding smelled horendous. We had packed lysol fortunately . We sprayed  the linens, carpets, and curtain in our Balcony room.

We dined in the Blush dining area on deck 3 aft. On night 2  and on night 4 my wife received hair and eyelash in her food. Of course we did not make a scene. But we did send it back. Two of the last three nights we just ate at Lido buffet.  I will say that the food was disappointing compared to the last 3 cruises we had on Carnival.
The waiter at our table in the dining room, gave us his story of hard luck. He had six kids, very expensive where he was from. Fishing for tips.
Two nights at karoike, my paper with my requests to sing were overlooked. That has been one of my favorite parts of cruising.  I feel the staff was not organized enough to handle the jobs they were given.
The Easy Breezy band was so unprofessional it was pitiful. They hadn't a clue for the most part what they were doing. But they laughed it off.
One of the wait staff in Lido dining was visiting with us about his being robbed at gunpoint in Jamaica. So we decided to stay on board for the day . We got off and right back on .
Upon returning home  my bank account had been drafted 3 times the amount necessary to cover my charges. In fact to date , Carnival still owes me $300.00.
I also never received my $50 on board credit.  So I went to guest services and questioned it?
They informed me that I did not have one when I booked.  I have sent this same info to the cruise.com to alert them as well. For I am certain I was told that I had a $50 on board credit.
I contemplated adjusting my gratuities. I suppose I should have, Just didn't. I am planning a cruise around Thanksgiving of 2017. My sons and daughter in laws and their kids, my mother and father in law, my daughter in laws parents are all planning to come along. I'm not certain at this time which cruise line I will use.
I wanted you to have this feedback so that perhaps another cruiser will not encounter these things that we did.
Again, this was our 2nd cruise in 2016 on Carnival. We have always enjoyed.
Thank you for your time in reading my concerns.
        Sincerely,
        David & Melinda King

We love to cruise on different Carnival ships.  We traveled on the Magic, then Breeze.  Both  in dream class ship.  We love the Conquest class ships, they are smaller.  The last cruise was on the Breeze and even tho it is a beautiful ship, it does not have the friendless of a smaller ship.  The shows always had technical difficulties, food was cold, only 2 ice cream machine areas, thrill theater seats weren't working, one elevator skipped eighth floor all the time, and de embarking was a nightmare.  Wont be riding the Breeze again, sticking to Conquest class ships

I guess it was removed. I couldn't access it.

@ CruisingCM, Best advice yet! I didn't even snap to that!

It is unfortunate that you did not have a good experience. It is also unfortunate that you put your personal contact information out there in a public forum.  You might wish to request this review be removed (or try to get the phone and home address information struck out).

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad cruise on the Breeze.  It was our favorite ship to date. We received twice daily service by default, so this is a change since February.  We also sailed out of Miami, so it's likely that crew has changed since then.

If you do Facebook, Carnival Cruise Lines has a page, as does John Heald, the senior cruise director.  Either of these sites will generally pass your concerns on to the powers that be.

I would just like to reiterate the best way to be heard is to write a letter to the cruise line.

I am sorry to hear that this particular cruise did not meet your expectations. This site cannot help you with the cruise line, I would write a letter to the President of the cruise line. It seems that hand written letters get more attention than posting on a site.

You understand that this site is niether read nor controlled by Carnival Corporation, right? If you wish to have your concerns addressed, you would need to email or call Carnival main offices in Miami directly.
