Review summary

This was by far my worst cruise. We have taken about 30 cruises on different lines so we do have experience. The service in the dining room was poor, the food was not good and the entertainment was marginal. The casino was awful, you could not win a penny unless you are playing $6 to $8 a hand. There was very little to do on your sea days and not live music playing by the pool. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone.

Ship tip

We took this ship three years ago when it was based in Florida. We loved it and that is the reason we took it a second time. This was a mistake. Everything was different on this sailing and I will never repeat this ship.

Heck, I remember Amy playing on lido, and she and bobby would often play at red frog pub too. There's always too much to do on sea days, I can't get to all the things I want to do. This initial reviewer was doing it wrong

I just got off the Breeze last week. I don't remember live music on Lido, but big deal. Ride was smooth, weather nice (except Jamaica) I agree shows were lame (excluding comedy club) and we rarely eat in the MDR but the steakhouse was good. We were entertained all day relaxing and people watching. It is what you make of it

We just got off the breeze, we went from 9-4-16 to 9-11. I agree with you I been on many cruises with carnival and this one was the worst! The dining room was poor and the entertainment in the dining room could not come close to the other ships. Usually they remember your name by the second day, come Thursday they were still asking what's your name. The Galveston port was very unorganized!

Just got off Breeze in August. Saw many up in casino including myself and I am not a low bet player. I also noticed they gave out comps more frequently and much better comps. :) We had live music by pool on lido. So sorry you didn't have a good time. Hope it goes better on your next cruise.

Good for you stephanie79. Some people just aren't happy unless they are batching about something and making good everyone miserable. Glad you were able to ignore them and enjoy your cruise. May you enjoy many more

We had plenty to do on the breeze. With it being are first cruise we was worried about sea days not having anything to do. We did not mind sea days at all it was better than we thought it was going to be . We sat down every night when we got the fun times and highlight everything we wanting to do the next day . It made it easier by doing it that way . We thought sea days was fun. And they went by quick .we had a lot of fun.And me and my husband made a lot of good memories together. We was just greatful. To go on a cruise. Couple of people got attitude with us but we blow it off because we was not going to let them are anything else ruin are good time.

I went on the Breeze twice and loved it. There was always live music and activities by the pool. I ejoyed all my meals that I had in the restaurants. Loved Guys burgers and late night pizza too. Comedy shows were always funny and I had a great time in the casino, lucky both time 😆

I was on the Breeze in April and I agree, the food was not the best, service in the dinning was was poor and slow, our party of 4 all commented on this, we just didn't go every night...food everywhere. But finding something to do was not hard at all, the hard part was deciding what to do for the day.

I'm on the breeze October 2 and this is my 4th carnival cruise. I love them and I'm so excited. I just think there are people that are simply unable to be happy. And that's not taking away from my family trip. Keep it up CARNIVAL

Jansano your right I went on the 28th of Aug and the food in the dining room and buffet was bland.... Guys, burritto place and tandoor was good as always. American Table sucks compared to what carnival used to provide. I swear to God they served lamb three days in a row thurs fri and sat on the evening buffett. The deserts are horrible only a few are ok The ice cream is pretty much the best and it comes.in a carton they dont evwn make. There appears to be no chefs on board and they now also screwed up the famous melting cake also.. The cake had to much egg. Maybe I didn't drink enough so I ended up tasting the food if you take the breeze make sure you drink and maintain it.. lol Been about 5 times and since they changed to American table it has sucked. Also only one engine propeller was working on the return from mexico back to galveston port, ship was at half speed and If last one would have failed the another triumph incident would have repeated.

We were on the Breeze in March and had a great time. Food was excellent, dining room service was very good and we always found plenty to do. Live music by the pool daily and live music in lounges as well. Been on 11 cruises on different lines and I'd definitely recommend Breeze, and Carnival in general.

I may have been in the same cruise, I remember live music by the pool.... Not all the time but there was. I do agree that Carnival has cut some corners in the food department but there was plenty to do on sea days but some of the activities aren't for everyone.

I don't quite understand not having anything to do- I've been on the Breeze twice and going again in December. If you had nothing to do that was your own fault. Lots to do on every Carnival ship. They have also had live music on the lido each time I was aboard. ????????

Ummmmm....there is no way you couldn't find anything to do on the Breeze!! I have been on the Triumph, always something to do and on one of yhe smallest ships the Fascination and was never bored....so seeing how the Breeze is one of the larger ships Carnival has how did you find nothing to do!
